It was hard to see the moment when Mayorga hurt his hand.

I was thinking perhaps it was the last hook Cotto threw that put Mayorga down. After hitting his chin did it then connect with Mayorga's hand?

    Any thoughts?

Don't know what happened, seen replays from many angles but in was never clear. What was clear however is that Miguel hit him full force and he was on ***** (half gay) street after that and the hand injury was only part of the problem.

After Cotto hit him w/ full force and then he knew he will lose anyway, he fooled us again by pretending that he was injured!

mayorga always gets embaressed when he steps up in competition. He is a b level fighter at best. i'd like to see him switch to mma, where is pregame would be more appericated.

So is the general consensus that he faked the hand injury?

Maybe, I thought at first that Cotto's hook had somehow hit it's wrist or that he'd caught his thumb somehow, but then watching the replay it's didn't seem that the punch had actually hit his hand.

The Cotto punch really had a major impact on him though, so maybe it was a good way to fake his way out :think

I can see that point, and Mayorga did say after that Cotto has a lot of power. I watched it on a link, although it was a very good link it still lagged, so i'm hoping some quality downloads pop up later so i can check it out again.

why would he fake it in the last round? its not like there were 10 rounds to go. who wants to get knocked out again in the 12th round. did he take a dive vs mosley then?

when he got hit on the elbow, it might have done something to his nerves in his arm.

Tarver's comment was good, something on the lines of ''Maybe he got hit so hard it shook his hand''
