Hate to say it, but Margarito. A relentless pressure fighter, even as past it as Margarito is, is a bad matchup for Cotto, who's clearly on the slide himself.

Cotto. At this stage of their career it's a mismatch but cotto deserves a shot at revenge.

I think Margarito's style is all wrong for Cotto.

I picked Margarito to stop him in the first fight and I think Margarito knocks him out again if they fight a second time. Cotto just hasn't shown me he is capable of fighting off his back foot for 12 rounds without gassing out.

I dislike the whole plaster thing, but I think Margarito beats Cotto again.

I havn't been able to see either the Cotto or Martinez bout yet.

Did Cotto show any signs that he could initiate a clinch at any point, hurt or not?

If he hasn't shown those signs, a Margarito who is capable of taking the type of punishment he did against both Cotto and Pacquiao...will beat Cotto in my opinion. That is unless Cotto finds away to keep Margarito away from him.

I must admit Cotto-Mayorga was a little too sloppy. I was expecting Cotto to work that left hook to the body and be a lot more accuate vs. his free swinging washed up opponent, what he did was good, but nothing overly impressive given the recycled foe who never was very good. I was surprised how harsh Tyson was as he called both past their primes, but there's something to it.

Here comes the tricky part. Both Miguel and Margarito suffered two brutal beatdowns lately, and both fight now higher than their ideal weight. I was pretty sure that Margartio would beat Cotto again until Mosley, but after that I said no way Tony will ever be the same again so picked Miguel to get his revenge. Now... I dunno. It's a great action fight but I have some concerns that somebody will get seriously hurt, while the winner will likely end up getting beaten up by Pac again, following the Bob Arum strategy.

Who winds? I have no idea, I can see both Margarito by late stoppage and Cotto by comfortable decision.

Cotto needs to move back down 147, he is substantially slower, and doesn't have the power to make those big guys flinch, Margarito carries that weight much better (and thats judging from a fight which he was weight drained by Pac).

    Margarito tko 9.

Why won't Cotto ever learn how to clinch? It'll help his not so great stamina and glass face.

you don't learn to clinch overnight. And also clinching against fighters who are stronger and bigger than you is difficult

A real dangerous fight for Cotto and Margo would be even more hungry this fight than ever and no catch weight involve Arum not stupid.
I still don't see Margo eye healing properly that eye is damage forever sparing is going to make it more tender and fight time its going to be much worst against anyone he fights.

  15. Margarito will win the same way he did last time , Cotto doesnt have the power or speed to hold him off ...
