Klitschko-Haye: An absurd mismatch and hype job

It's not the choice of Haye that irks me but rather the overbearing hype and endless hateful posts on here, plus the orchestrated way Haye was gifted a belt, and his repulsive and unsportsmanlike demeanor - a demeanor that appeals to many of the participants on these boxing forums, which says a lot about what participates on these boxing forums, whereas the Klitschkos who are highly educated men who behave as gentlemen and sportsman seem to evince a visceral hatred from the same ("the Klit sisters" etc.) which is why, as above, I speculated about who and what the posters who write such things might be, and why they would be writing such gratuitously hateful things.

Yes, anything is possible, so i shouldn't really have said that Haye has "no chance". Nobody denies that he has a good punch, so yes, he has the punchers chance. I'd say anything better than 100-1 odds is a bargain...but I'm trying to let that guy up above give me his 6-4 odds, and I believe I saw a thread on here about how British boxing fans have made Haye the favorite. Will british bookies be giving the appropriate odds then?

Haye is better than wladimir last oppentents Thompson and peter aside.

Chageav had a split decision over Ruiz, Haye destroyed Ruiz.
Haye beat Valuev easy (watch the fight) boring fight. Valuev failed to catch Haye, most of the so called punches Valuev landed hit gloves or missed. Power punches were about 80 to 6 in Haye favour. Throw in the Valuev chicken dance and hayes broken hand, boring win but hardly debateable. Chageav, Holyfield, Ruiz fights with Valuev were all closer. More to due to choosing the wrong tactics by the trio. Would Chageav have won if he was ruiz or Holyfield not sure.

Yes I agree Valuev lost all three fights the point is employing a tactic when the judges are all in the other corner. Haye figured they could not award Valuev the fight if Valuev failed to hit him. More importantly Haye real hurt Valuev.

Sultan, beat a shot Holyfield and a shot Briggs who won the title with a last desperate shot after being easily outpointed.

Eddie beat an unmotivated Peter. I do not rate Eddie.

    Rahman and brewster were shot.

Peter tried a new sytle in his second matchup with Wladmir, which was just plain crazy.

So you left with the first peter fight and thompson.

I understand Jack, and I know that Haye is probably a little over-hyped on this forum (but then again, who isn't on this forum?). I appreciate both men...yes Haye is a very abrasive individual and his demeanor couldn't be more opposite from that of the Klitschkos. They are classy gentlemen and represent what it takes to be a disciplined, accomplished athlete and still be humble about it. That I can definitely appreciate.

At the same time, controversy helps sell fights, whether it's appealing to everyone or not. I guarantee 50% of the people that purchase Mayweather's fights, for example, tune in with the hope of seeing the arrogant, brash, abrasive Floyd get knocked out. If he was as quiet and non-assuming as the Klitchkos, I would have to think he'd sell half as many PPV fights. Ali was the master of it, and these guys today (Haye, Mayweather) are just trying to take a page out of his book and see if it works for them. :deal

Klitschko fan quote of the week was originally the recently departed Jazzo's baby, I just took over when he got bored and quickly got labelled the chief hater.

I don't actually hate the fighters as much as some on here, I just take the **** out of the fans where I feel it's appropriate. Was always sort of a WALDO fan back in the day, and even liked VITLAY when he beat Hide years ago. Once the Lewis fight was over and the pathetic bitching started, I started mocking them. I'll stop mocking when they stop whining :yep

Yeah, the carny act fills the seats with asses all right. Can't argue with that. Just that I'd like to see boxing turned into a legitimate sport rather than a gloved version of Vince McMahon's Sports Entertainment wrasslin shows. I'd also like to see some more intelligent boxing forums rather than the kiddie crew

Specifics, please. I posted a round by round analysis up above. You tell me which round I'm wrong about and then we can rewatch it and see who is accurate and who isn't. None of you have been able to do that, just the same generalities about "Haye beat Valuev easily", which he obviously did not. And again, let's see the slightest evidence that Haye broke his hand in the fight, like hospital or doctor records. Likewise for the alleged back injury. I'd also like to see that (ha ha) British Board of Boxing inquiry into his fixed fight with his accomodating buddy Harrison.

And so what if people want to post smiley faces next to their posts, its a ****ing forum you dick.

Can't I put an age requirement on my threads, like you must be over twelve years old to post? Mentally as well as chronolgically. Of course that would cull out about 98% of the crap posting on here.

Right - I'm not really following this thread, so I don't know that catalyst for your post . .

But you're asking for boxing fans on a forum to provide you with real medical records to show that Haye broke his hand in the Valuev fight? Really? Why?

That is one of the most pathetic requests I've seen in this forum, which is pretty funny considering two posts ago you was complaining about the prevelance of 'kids' on here. Now you're taking a stance which basically says 'track down and provide actual medical evidence of an injury to a professional athlete sustained in a word championship bout - or it didn't happen'.

So you want people to go between hospitals in Germany and the UK and track down the one that may have seen Haye, then persuade them to ignore data protection/ patient confidentiality legislation in order to give you xrays and then come back and post any findings here . . . :-(

The guy claimed he broke his hand, he appeared in TV interviews following the fight showing a swollen, discoloured and sore looking hand. That will suffice as evidence for most people - not for you though.

You obviously have a strong dislike for the guy (so much so that you've even said that the only people who like him must be racially motivated) so you refuse to believe he broke his hand unless provided with unrealistic levels if evidence.

Also, regarded the back injury - you're flogging a dead horse. No one wiith an ounce of common sense believes Haye legitimately hurt his back before the 2009 fight. The company set to pay Haye his purse for the Wlad fight was about to go under and had already defaulted on several payments to the Premier League - they had no money to pay Haye for the fight. Because of the nature of his deal with K2 at that time, his own TV money was the sole income he was due from that fight (this information is freely available online, so I suggest you read up on it before perpetuating the stupid back injury story) so he either pulled the plug on the fight or he fough Wlad for £0.

Wisely he pulled the plug. I wouldn't go into the office without being paid - let alone in a boxing ring against a professional fighter. Anyone who says he should have fought for free is either incredibly biased or just stupid.

One thing we have learned from this is that if you're contracted for a professional fight but want to renege without leaving yourself liable to financial damages/costs etc, then feigning an injury is the way to do it. Despite the transparency of Haye's initial pullout, he did not suffer any repurcussions. Fast forward to now - Wlad feigns an injury to pull out out the Chisora fight for the second time in equally transparent circumstances (it was necessary to facilitate the Haye fight) and absolutely nothing can be done about.

He broke his hand on Valuev's melon head. He was on TV a day or so after and his hand looked ****ed.
