Klitschko-Haye: An absurd mismatch and hype job

Far from a mismatch. Haye is a worthy opponent, even though his resume at heavyweight is mediocre.

Haye is just another Klitschko opponent, but more of an interesting bout.

 

Jack, it's Rocky IV that does it. There's a soviet villain aspect to these guys. Totally undeserved, no doubt, but there it is.

Add that to the undeniable fact that these guys are completely devoid of any "flair".

You moan about the standard of posting on here, implying the ownership of some kind of intellect that is largely lacking from your posts, but you are no different from the idiots you attempt and distance yourself from.

Your posts are stupidly biased, setting up arguments within ridiculously unbalanced parameters in order to manufacture your pre determined conclusion - as evidenced by your laughable requests for David Haye's medical records.

You seem incapable of accounting for the opinions and tastes of anybody other than yourself. Any view that differs from yours is treated with great suspicion and is assumed to have sinister motives, as evidenced by your pathetic claim that anybody who likes David Haye must either be black or a wannbe be black man.

Funnily, that view is inherently racist - implying that 'black' is a condition associated with having lower expectations of a persons behaviour and conduct - liking the 'bad guy' in any given situation. Of course it also implies that 'white' would be the higher, more desirable charactersistic, associated with the 'good guy' image, as protrayed by the Klitschkos.

This thinly veiled racism, along with your inability to separate a character adopted by a boxer in order to sell a fight from the actual person really isn't something I'd expect from a poster campaigning for a better quality forum. Quite the opposite in fact.

And to finish, this is a boxing forum open to people from all over the world, from all walks of life and of varying ages and levels of education - if you don't like that then I suggest you take your misplaced elitist attitude and go elsewhere. However, i'm sure you'll be confronted by similar problems wherever you go, because if any thing is certain in life it's that no one likes a twat.

I don't think the match-up is absurd or that Haye is a hype-job but I still think Haye is not going to win the fight. Klitschko ought to look a bit better against Haye than what some are expecting because for a long period of time Klitschko has faced an unusual amount of southpaws and I believe Haye is orthodox, plus like most past opponents have found out, they don't have a speed advantage like they thought going into the fight. Klitschko is going to wear down Haye during the early rounds with jabs and start throwing the real power punches in the mid to late rounds, if there are any. It's going to be the same sort of Lennox Lewis style that motivated HBO to cancel his contract.

 

It is wildly shortsighted to dismiss the Klitschko's ethnic background as basis for dislike. I am in no mood to write another essay so I will simply refer to the old "no charisma" critique. Evidently being well spoken, charitable, mannered professionals with a clever flair for always saying the right thing is lost on most.

Sad how acting like a civilized human being(s) is so detested in this day and age...

It's funny how the Klit fans accusing people of not liking the brothers for racial reasons completely fail to see the inherently racist nature of that view. That is the true ignorance here.

The attitude is that the brothers are well spoken, mild mannered, charming, philanthropical, intelligent, bi-lingual - all round good guys. Therefore, anyone who dislikes them must be black, or at least apsire to have 'black values'. Obviously the assumption is that if you are black you will be unable to relate to the supposed qualities held by the Klits and will reject them.

And the perpetuators of this theory are the ones crying racism from the other side?

If you view the Klit-Haye fight as the archetypal good guy/bad guy fight, which is exactly how it's been pitched, then the view put forward by some of these Klit fans is that it is in the Black person's nature to side with the bad guy or relate to their values - and that's who is siding with Haye and making disparaging remarks towards the Klits.

You guys seriously need to stop using race to attempt justify things you don't understand - it really shows your ignorance and insecurity - and this is not even taking into account the portion of Klit fans who like to talk about the 'impurity' of black fighers. That **** is just ******ed
