A little advice: #1 Dawg get your ****ing hair cut, the comb over part looks like ****, is a distraction obviously, and if you are going to be on TV that **** isn't going to cut it. #2 Get some ****ing shorts that fit, my 10 year old Nephew called during the fight and said he wanted his "Kronk" shorts back. You are a grown ass man dude, get some shorts that actually fit you. I'm sure relentless loved it, but I don't want to see your male camel toe. #3 You aren't very good, and I would give myself a 25% chance to knock your bum ass out...and I don't even box. #4 Congrats on your KO
:rofl I agree, especially with the shorts. He's trying to look like Tommy Hearns "old school" but he looks like an overgrown schoolboy who forgot his gym gear and the PE teacher made him wear spare shorts.
Re: item #3 (the only one dignifying a serious response :yep) In the 1st and 8th-10th round he looked really good. If he could fight that way consistently round to round he could be a real force. Big if, though. He transformed into a steaming pile of manure during those in-between rounds, 2nd-7th. Talk about a Jekyll and Hyde boxer.
:rofl:rofl No **** about them shorts, son! Anybody that didn't think that **** was hillarious, didn't see that ****. Somebody around Lee, on his team or whatever, should have been like "Damn bro, you sure you want to wear that **** on HBO??"
I'm not even a massive Lee fan, but when you get threads made to talk about a mans choice in shorts, then there's a big problem.
I thought McEwan was going to win for most of the middle rounds, until Lee remembered he had more than just a right hook in his arsenal and stopped freezing like a deer in headlights whenever McEwan threw combos. :yep
In '08 I really thought Andy Lee was fittin' to make a run at the MW Title. then came the Vera fight , and he's just never regained the momentum and attention he was getting.
You've got to love Vera. He is like truth serum for pugilists. If you beat him impressively, you might be pretty good. If you struggle with him, you're probably either not the real deal or at least have some work to do. If you lose to him, you're definitely not the real deal or at least have a lot of work to do.
Andy has not regained his status because he still fights the same way. If Vera came in and fought like he did against Mora, he would beat Lee again.
Well, Andy fights two ways - that's the problem. One way, he beats Vera. The other way, he loses. The problem is that like with McEwan he'd likely fight both ways all on the same night and thus damn himself.
