Im a big fan of Cotto, but if he fights Margarito on ppv next I would be dissapointed. He deserves a pass for fighting Foreman, because even though he turned out to be a hypejob, he was a legit and undefeated champion when Cotto did fight him (even if he was a weak one). But he would have proved more fighting Cintron even than he did fighting an old inactive Mayorga. Hell, Cotto-Dzinzuruk would have been better for boxing last night than Cotto-Mayorga. Still, maybe he is allowed a confidence booster though im not loving that it was ppv. But if he fights Margarito next on ppv, a guy who is barely ranked in the top 10 and is 1-2 in his last 3, I think he deserves some criticism. The light middleweight division has plenty of talented fighters that are more deserving of a big payday and oportunity than Antonio Margarito, who it seems that he keeps getting rewarded for his cheating because people cant get enough of him being a punching bag. I like Cotto, but if he were Floyd he would be getting

Anybody else would get blaimed especially Floyd

but....Cotto's legacy has a black eye from this guy physically and quite metaphorically

Conastota will look at his career with scrutiny if he avenges the big one his name will be bigger

especially after the gutsy fight vs Manny, Margarito is still game

That is a gutsy move. Anyone who fights a guy who once knocked them out is a gutsy fighter.

Cotto and Margarito need to clear that **** up. It is virtually impossible to tinker with hand wraps under Nevada rules and procedures, and that is where the first fight took place.

Tony may be past his best, but he is most certainly better than Mayorga. Cotto looks technically better under Steward than he did before Steward.

    We need this fight.

no no, cotto has unfinished business with margo and needs to win to redeem himself. Thats reason alone definitely justifies this fight for miguel. this isnt just a fight its about revenge.

Agreed.. No problem with wanting to avenge your first loss, especially when there was speculation that Margarito might have worn plaster in his gloves after he was caught trying to use it in the Mosley fight.. I can see Cotto winning the rematch too..

I think Cotto should conquer his inner demons and fight Margarito. I really want him to give Margo a worse beating than what Pac did.

Margarito is unfinished business and it's a chance to avenge a loss. He's fine taking this fight.

It's a rematch of one of the best and most controversial fights of the last 10 years.

I, for one, would love to see it. Both men feel they have loads to prove

    of course not.

Margarito can still lay a beating on most of the top10 JrMW.

    - He would knock out Cintron, #1 ranked by the ring

    - He would beat Angulo at his own game, #2 ranked by the ring.

    - Cotto is #3, should be #1.

    - Who the **** is Ryan Rhodes? Margo by KO. #4 ranked by the ring

    - Sechew Powell, Margo by KO. #5 ranked

    - Yuri Foreman #6, Margo murders him.

    - Vanes Martirosyan #7, unproven commodity. Would be a war.

    - Sergei Dzinziruk, #8, no power to get Margo's respect, Margo by KO.

    - Saul Alvarez, #9, still a kid, Margo by KO

    - Cornelius Bundrage, #10, Margo by KO

  14. hes only gonna loose when he fights margarito the same as he did last time...

cotto needs to destroy cement gloves b/c his fans, and boxing fans, and sports fans, and fans of competetion in general deserve it.
