He is good enough to beat some, maybe even some with ease. Others, he may lose to... but I bet he at least puts up a good fight vs. any of them.
He might beat 2 or 3... but I tell you, Hagler would destroy him. He would probably beat him so bad, Martinez would never be the same. Think Cotto. And Hopkins would beat him pretty easy along with SRR of course. I think the Lamotta fight would be a good one. Very entertaining, and I think Martinez could maybe win a close decision there. I would like to see him against De La Hoya, Mosley, and Tito. Although these guys are a tad smaller, I think all 3 beat him at 154.
I can't believe this thread is 4 pages long. Martinez has proved nothing, and he already has a thread about him and the greats in the Classic Forum atsch:-(. This is a classic example of nuthuggery at it's very best.
Yes, this guys could only beat the likes of Sugar Ray Robinson but are not in any way ready to step with an elite like Martinez
You know, I actually think that Martinez/Haggler would be an entertaining fight, albeit a short one, with Haggler doing some real damage.
