Why do people consider Bute vs Magee as a bad fight??

    Sadly you're right! when i don't know a fighter i go check his record on Boxrec then watch vids on youtube to get an idea!

    Correct. I dont like Magee but thought he beat Reid (im probably in the minority), Tsypko (many did) and Oakey (many did).

    Thats a good thing to do. It helps give an idea. Magee is not spectacular but isnt as bad as A Abraham as a SMW or Green and more accomplished than G Johnson at SMW

    no. I have to say that very often, if you follow boxing regularly and have never heard of someone, then there is probably a good reason for that. If you don't really follow boxing, then it's another story.

    i mean boxrec can only tell you so much.

    We'll see if Magee is a worthy challenger or not. I would guess not.

    Well done. So you knew of three fighters when they were amateurs(I'm assuming that's how, otherwise you're wrong). At least I didn't first know of them when they were well into their 30's and past their best, eh?

    if Magee was anywhere near as good as those 3, I would have known about him as well.

    you're pretty arrogant but don't fool yourself into thinking that there aren't any fighters that I know of, and that you don't.

    Even if Bute was to blast out Magee with the first shot in the first round, with the points noted that he is a better SMW challenger than Abraham and Green would it still be so bad? Obviously nobody would want to see that happen. I dont think Magee can hold a shot. Reid exposed that when he had Brian down 4 times, but I still thought Magee had done enough. Yes Magee is past his best now, but he is a worthy challenger

    So you only know of top-level fighters then? Because Magee is top 15 at least. And I'll take it that you did know of them as amateurs, because surely you wouldn't make such a ludicrous claim otherwise.

    I'm not arrogant, I was taking the **** with my first post and you decided to be the one that was arrogant and made assumptions with your response.

    no, I know of alot more fighters than top fighters.

    But unlike you, I don't know of every fighter who has ever entered the top15 of every division.


    It was indeed ludicrous of me to claim that you might not have known of Bute, Lemieux, and Psacal since their pro debuts

    I bow to your greatness.
