Why do people consider Bute vs Magee as a bad fight??

Pascal was a far better SMW than Magee.

 

I agree it will not be a bad fight. Bute will pound on him though!

Nor do I. I know of many, though not all. But I would think somebody should know of a European champion, who is considered to be right up there in Carl Froch's best wins, and has long been talked about as a future title challenger in one of boxing's most talked about divisions. I guess not.

I'm far from great, I just know who Brian Magee is. You really aren't very good with sarcasm are you?

It was ludicrous to call me arrogant, which I wasn't being, before making a statement yourself that was quite arrogant.

 

Magee is a solid enough, decent fighter but he's in over his head against Bute. I'm sure people consider it a bad fight because there's only one guy who has a chance of winning.

Magee might be more proven at 168 than Dirrell, Abraham, Johnson etc but it's fair to say he's not as good as any of those guys and they would all be more of a challenge to Bute. For instance, Kotelnik is a more proven light-welterweight than Pacquiao but no-one could claim that Manny isn't the better fighter at 140.

 

look im not defending bute.
but in magees case he is a good fighter. and possible a mouthful too far for bute.

magee is from a prestigious fighting family, very strong am credentials and has fought with a new trainer which has boosted his performances recently especially on his outside work. his win streak is pretty good.

Pascal moved to LHW at 26 years old.

Magge boxed in SMW for so long that you can't do a fair comparaison between both of them.

But i would put my money on Pascal any day of the week against Magee.

Magee though is far to be a bad fighter and he's the best available now of Lucian bute.

Bute will fight Kessler in fall !!

 

To be frank there's no ranking i had been agree with (Ring,Boxrec,etc...)

 

Magee is a decent level fighter. Not world class but pretty close to it but he doesnt belong in the ring with Bute. He cant outbox Bute and he cant brawl with him because Bute is too fast and hits too hard and will knock Magee out with Magee's shaky chin.

Most people havent seen or heard of Magee(which if you are a boxing fan I find very strange) so they consider him a bum and doesnt deserve a title ****. And Although he is not a bum he doesnt deserve a title shot. He has never beaten a top 10 fighter and his best win is prob against a past his prime Larsen who was 37 and had a 4 year layoff and never beat a decent fighter after that layoff and even in his prime his best win was beating a shot Thulani Malinga and agruable beating Sven Ottke(but so have about 5 other lesser fighters).

Magee is a good fighter but not world class and after the Brinkely fight Bute should've found a better opponent. I know with the super 6 its hard but they def could've found someone better and more deserving the Magee.

 

people need to stop equating accomplished more with better.

Magee can't bring his past accomplishments in the ring against Bute, he can only bring his ability.

anyways, time will tell. the fight is next week

 

Magee is going to be lost in the ring Bute is going to over whelm him with movement and speed it won't be compititive at all.
