That was my main reason for not going, and tbh I doubt I'll ever attend an event at Braehead unless there's a designated driver/supporters bus. Took nearly an hour to get a cab into Glasgow after the Evensen fight, with the weather the way it was this weekend, I think that killed the prospect of any last-minute ticket sales stone-dead.

Kelvin Hall would be a much better choice (doubt Ricky would sell-out SECC at the prices Warren charges tbh).

This is has been a problem for years in Scotland its been raped for years by english promoters .maybe promoters like tommy gilmuir and alex morrison should get more praise than they have had over the years .I think Ricky burns has the whole of Scottish boxing on his shoulders at the moment and should get the rewards that go with it as he has a short career in boxing so before he goes for the unifacation title have a couple of voluntery defences and get as much money out of the game as he deserve as he is such a nice guy a true gent and aslo billy nelson should be reconnised a top pro coach aswell and without doubt he has avery good stable of boxers .

 He's already had 2 very easy voluntarys, which I agree is fair enough because he's got them in quickly and he deserves to make some cash, but if he goes on to have another 2 against people on the Evensen/Laryea level he's going to lose all respect from real boxing fans. It's it's time to step up his level of opposition and face someone with a pulse on the world scene, even if it's not a unification.

i was at the fight last night braehead is a nightmare to get back into the city centre id say there was maybe 2000 give or take there is a few reasons there wasnt as big as crowd as there could have been the price hike is one the choice of opponnent is another and the depth of card was truelly shocking frank warren wouldnt think of having as weak a card anywhere else in britain if you looked at the card online and were not a diehard burns fan or a fan of one of the undercard fighters theres no fights that whetted the appetite to go

It's interesting to see who's next for Burns .Martinez Cruz was supposed to be a final eliminator but Cruiz didn't want the fight I read on the scene .Looking forward to finding out who Burns's next opponent is .I hope he unifies anyway man it would be brilliant for Scottish boxing .

That would be a great idea, nice compact little stadium, would sell well. Hope they go for that.
