beltholder Sergiy Dzinziruk (37-1, 23 KOs) in eight rounds on Saturday night at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. Martinez received credit for a knockdown in the fourth, and then dropped Dzinziruk in round five, and then put him down three more times in round eight for the TKO win.Martinez is fueled by his personal quest to become the recognized pound for pound king of boxing. He wants to fight either two of the best pound for pound fighters in the ranking. "Its on my mind. Its is an obsession,it motivates me.I know that i will be pound for pound the best in the world, and I will obtain it. I want the best fighters in the world, I want Mayweather who's running scare,I also want Pacquiao...I want to fight the best" stated Martinez::deal

Sergio only got $1.2 million in his last fight. Pacs opponents are getting $8 to $10 million lately. I wouldn't be surprised.

he should try going north to further make a case at being P4P king, calling out midgets wont help.

The p4p #3 or 4 wanting to fight the p4p 1 and 2.... who are within a weightclass of him, I see nothing wrong here.

Mayweather vs Martinez at 154..... this is the only fight that should matter for mayweather other then the Pac fight. I wont hold be holding my breath.

Thats too bad for Sergio, he wont be getting fights against the top names and the only guys above him in rankings because they wont fight him.

After the shots he took from a not very special euro league fighter last night, I'm not surprised at all that he's not calling out any MW or SMW fighters. How much longer is this ****ing charade going to last?

The guy is a former welterweight himself, why should he be expected to call out super middles? Most of whome are almost all tied up with other buisness.

Mayweather and Pac are former 'champs' at the division he can fight them at, 154.... and are the only people actually rated above him in boxing.

So now a fighter shouldnt call out the other best fighters in the world? Especially considering hes on the wrong side of 35 and probably has a small window in which he will be competeting at his best, really, him calling out the big names is more then understandable.

sergio will get status by beating the top guys at middleweight and becoming unified undisputed middleweight champion.

    he could face:
    Pirog
    Sturm/slyvester
    cotto
    Alverez

    Chavez
    Kirkland
    winky wright?

if these chumps dare face him we will beat them up,knock them out and win all titles at light middleweight and middleweight.

in defense of maravilla..he's not getting any younger.

I would love to see a Pac/Martinez fight. I don't care if my fighter gets killed.
