Sergio Martinez will have no problem beating Sergiy Dzinziruk.

Martinez is a fighter who has benefited greatly from PED's,, far more than most...

This is not sour grapes, more power to him. Literally and figureatively.:hey

 

The upperbody movement is what I was referring to. I have not seen him utilize it in the limited amount of footage I had access to via youtube. Perhaps it was because he was in with a southpaw, but I figure McGirt would have put a great deal of emphasis on it.

McGirt is an underrated trainer. It's not his fault that his fighter's aren't performing. His advice might seem basic, but I believe it's because his fighters already have a fundamental knowledge of the sport, so he keeps it simple.

I will say that Dzinziruk put up a very good effort, but like I said, they never should have thrown him in with Martinez this early.

with Adamek, trying to get him to box on the outside and "out slick" Dawson who is taller with a longer reach and faster hands and feet, brilliant. Had Adamek fought his normal LHW pressure fighting swarming style he would have had a good shot.

Put in all honestly I dont think Dzinziruk could have ever beaten Martinez after seeing this Fight.

I think Dzin can do very well at 154 just stay away from this Maravilla beast.

 

Nice footwork but it wasn't fluid enough. He cut the ring down quite effectively, but fighting up close and moving backwards uncovered major flaws Martinez used against him very well. Up close Sergiy quickly went out of position due to Martinez' angles and footwork, and when Sergio opened up or countered, Dzinziruk failed to reset and left the angle open for the left hand following the jab. Bad feet positioning was Sergiy's downfall and Sergio purposefully lured the Ukranian in to expose this well hidden mistake. The footwork was solid only one way, and this was the technical flaw Martinez figured out. Impressive.

 

dzinziruk just got completely dominated. martinez is an animal in another league. he has the speed and precision with some pop. great effort my maravilla.
