you have to remeber Laz is a studenty ,but he has "contac" in the khan camp so that makes him an expert on housing...he is replacing Phil Spencer in Relocation,Relocation

I have no idea. He's sleeping at the mo so I'll be sure to get back to you with that, but even with a £300K Mortgage, we're struggling to get a house. The house that we currently live in is estimated at £415K and we plan to buy another in the same Area to put up for rent.

If we were to live 5 minute's nearer to the town, it would be about £550K. (Mind you, this is the Borough of London we're talking about).

But to the point, as I said before, it all depends on what you're earning.

I stand corrected then. That is a nice house. I only noticed the inside (which looked fairly standard to me).

I work in the housing sector (I won't say which side) and I find it staggering that your old man got that mortgage, he must have a fair size bank account because in todays housing market I would be more than shocked if he got the full £300K mortgage at £900 repayment and at 60 years old!!

considering half of what you pay in mortgage repayments is mainly paid towards interest and the other half towards the actual mortgage it would take nearly 20-30 years to pay that back, hence the reason why I'm guessing he put down a fair amount of green towards it, because I very much doubt your old man got a 100% mortgage in todays market!
