after saturday,i find it hard to understand why the puerto ricans are kind of cold towards cotto and worship trinidad

sure cotto is quiet and introverted but they have alot of similarities:

they both knock people out, they have exciting styles and have been in great fights, they have great heart and to both, the primary language remains spanish (i heard on a documentary that one of the main reasons trinidad had the love of puerto rico is that he stayed connected by only speaking spanish and not learning english etc)

so at 147 who wins? prime cotto who fought zab, mosley etc or prime tito who fought whitaker etc

Kind of a dumb question honestly, but at 147 lbs in their prime...it would be a good fight.
    But Tito wins...easily.

PR are NOT cold to Cotto wtf. Just cuz he don't hold him high as Tito doesn't mean ****. My whole family loves this man win or lose.

Just different personalities , Trinidad had that great smile and was so exciting to watch. Cotto is more of a thinker and the quiet man.

Of the two I go Trinidad , but it would be very close and I dont see a knockout , infact I see points in the fight where Cotto has Trinidad swinging at fresh air.

thats what the world press and lot of people on here have been saying

and its not a dumb question, cotto is a great boxer and tito was outboxed many times, even in his prime

also neither man has a definitive speed advantage which is a plus for cotto

Its obvious at least from the Boricua posters on ESB.. Tito seems to be overrated at times, where as Cotto doesnt seem to get that from his countryman...

That being said Tito kills Cotto at Jm... At welter id pick Tito but i think Cotto would probably give him all he wants at 147 if he can avoid getting kod early.

Only person to ever outbox Tito was B. Hop if you're a Oscar fan. I guess you can add him to the "many" names. :huh

And it is kind of dumd. Cotto will never and has never shown us anything Tito-ish.

10 times out of 10 Tito wins

Tito was just better. They could fight 5 or 6 times and Cotto loses everyone.

This I believe is a very easy question to answer. Tito by late round KO, similar to the Vargas fight actually.

Cotto would be competitive at 147, but Tito's hands were just too heavy there and Cotto would eventually be put down. At 154, Cotto gets a quicker ass whooping.

what about wright? although tito was very undersized.

and yes dlh outboxed him badly,he made tito look average, u don't have to be an oscar fan to know that

what was titoish? cotto has shown a wider range of skills than tito ever has and it is arguable he has had more in ring success,at least in the sense of longevity

Yeah I agree. That doesn't mean were cold to him.

We love the guy. We love Tito more...alot more.

Tito is the GOAT in our country. Who can compete with that? Not Cotto, not JML, no one can. I doubt anyone will ever capture PRs heart like Tito did.

Cotto was good. Tito was great.
