Margarito...How damaged is he?

Maybe it is crazy. I just think he's made from something different man. Cotto and Hatton's beatings did something to them mentally. I don't think it's possible to do that to Tony.

 

Just ribbing you....yeah I see what you are referring to and the difference I personally believe is that Margarita is just too stupid for his own good!!!

 

You may be right, but they'll never fight again anyways.. Angulo isn't Margo, but Cintron handled his pressure pretty well..

 

I don't think Margarito is done at all. He has one hell of a shot against Cotto in the rematch. The only question mark for me is his eye. If it's fully healed he pretty much has everything going for him, (better suited at the weight, nothing to lose a lot to gain, stylistic advantage, mental advantage, etc.)

Yea i do remember he was hospitalized until Monday or so.

I dont agree Cotto will beat him. Same result maybe even earlier this time around. Once you KO them its easier mentally to fold. If Margarito still has a chin he beats Cotto.

 

without loaded gloves hes nothing, hes a doesnt have a punch and little to no boxing ability. Only thing he has is a chin. Cotto will **** him up in the rematch. (I thought cotto was wining the first fight to before the last round)

 

I agree for Canelo at this point. I think that Cintron has learned a lesson and he showed it against Angulo. He is more comfortable at 154 than at 147 I think that he can manage to out box Margo that time. I think that Angulo is going to destroy Margo at this point. He also learned a lesson after the Cintron fight he has heavier hands than Margo ( for me) and he has less wear and tear.

Agreed. Cotto wins a wide UD with Margo if/when they fight this summer.

The posters here exaggerating Margo's abilities fall into two groups - nationalistic pride or because they think that bigging him up on ESB somehow enhances Pac's legacy.

 

Sergio said he considered a rematch but dismissed it because at this point he fears he would seriously hurt Margarita....that was mentioned after his fight this Sat. in the commentary.

 

Don't think so....Cotto isn't going to sit on the ropes !!!

If anything Margarita's body will come under attack.
