    Thanks guys, appreciate it ;) Not going as badly as I thought.

    I have my browser put on 40 posts per page, makes the goings a little faster. I would be twice as fast if my internet didnt act like Im asking it to land a spacecraft on the moon every time its loading a page but whatever :lol: Starting on the second part of the updates, shouldnt take too terribly long now. :good

    Kirk, not sure how you do the updates or not so this could be irrelevant.

    But i'm quite a maths whiz (by definition of my career choice and academical prestige) so I could knock up an editable spreadsheet to perhaps make the updates easier on you.

    Jus off the top of my head it would go like this...

    column headings: name, win, ko, draw, lose, rank coefficient.

    Regarding the rank coefficient it would be a mathematical way to determine the same logic you use to rank the posters. By wins and then by number of wins and then by ko's. I could enter in a formula at a basic level for example each win is 1 point, each loss is minus 1 point. Each knockout is 0.0000001 point. Then i'd add the 3 together to form the rank coefficient. Ranking people this way would give the same ranking you do logically, but at the click of a button.

    As I said I dunno what system you have in place but it is something I could do if needed. It would still rely no input from yourself, but all you'd have to is change the win, loss, draw, ko by one for each pick. Whether that saves you time or not I couldn't say.

    I'd obviously put a bit more thought into it but as I said the option is there.

    If your interested i'll try and create a prototype over the weekend, there would be some details needed to be ironed out but let us know.

    My suggestion, by the way, relies wholly on the assumption that the hard part is ranking the posters from 1 to whatever. Because that's the only thing it would really improve on.

    I think the hardest part is rounding up what everyones picks are and comparing that to the winners / losers / method. Certainly because picks are changed regularly and fights are cancelled / changed or resceduled.
    If you're far behind on that, rounding it all up takes a while.

    Nope, would be borderline impossible.
    A database system would be the only possible way, but there are so much variables that it would never work this way with problems like spelling, duplicate names (example: mike jones/roy jones both filled out as jones) nicknames and such.

    If you should make something like that, everyone should fill out some sort of sheet, so it a can be copy/pasted. But then you would still have the issue of typo's and such.

    All in all sooo much work to make something that only partly works, it isn't even worth trying. :-(
