Yes he does but he is in a very hard spot, fight the guy who took your perfect record by giving you one of your worst career beatings and giving him another payday or just say "**** him" and stay with the doubt for the rest of your life.

I do think that Margarito is a tough fight for Cotto because the guy never stops throwing, if Cotto doesn't go to the body in the rematch he could possibly lose again, though maybe his face won't look so bloody cause the goves won't be Reyes 8 oz...... and this is the other risk, losing to Margarito again and giving him another payday.

    Not an easy choice.

:lol::lol:I dont think there is any doubt with Cotto. A fighter will always grasp at straws for an excuse on why he lost.

Cotto knows that Margarito does'nt have concussive power.

    Margarito rearanged his face accumalitively.
The punches just flowed from Margarito steady, hard, and nonstop.

......it was'nt Margarito's punching power that did Cotto in. It was Margarito's nonstop pressure, nonstop punching, and Cotto could not keep up with the Pace!

High intensity and high pace.....Cotto has proven he cant keep up with a high pace, and it will do him in again vs the Tornado!

Yeah, Cotto should be applauded for taking on Margarito. It's a fight fans want to see. Apart from a few whiners, this fight is something most boxing fans are intrigued by

Why do you think Cotto should be applauded?

I'm hearing this alot in this forum.

Cotto has said he's 100% certain Margarito loaded his gloves in their fight.
If he's so certain, he should be going into that fight confident and knowing Margarito will be without plaster.

In Cotto's mind he's not going to be fighting the same Margarito he fought before.

......and btw, now that the fight is close to being made, I'm seeing the same posters who pointed the finger at Margarito as a cheat, are now not so certain Cotto can beat him.

When an opportunity at a rematch was nowhere near in sight, "Margarito is a cheater, platercheato."

......now that the fight is close to being signed, "ahhh, I dont know, maybe Margarito just has his number."
Margarito is a cheater, but he might have the style to give Cotto problems.":nut:nut:nut

These Margarito haters want to have it both ways.:yep

I see your point Eze, its not about the matchup itself to you as much as its about Marg not deserving the payday. Fair enough....

But, Marg deserving the payday or not, doesnt Cotto deserve the chance to avenge his defeat? Its a tough situation, because by not giving Marg that payday, youre robbing Cotto of his chance for redemption, no?

I think its a good fight, and will be tuning in. Personally, I dont think Cotto wins this. But we will see, Ill be rooting for him hardcore, just like their first fight. But I do understand your point :good

They have unfinished business. Margarito is to Cotto as Khan is to Prescott
