Tall and big have different meanings. Margarito is taller, Martinez is bigger. Also, stronger, faster, and smarter
Margarito had the size advantage, but that's the only advantage he had over Pac. Pac's hand/foot speed, athleticism neutralizes Margarito's size since he isn't fast or a one punch ko artist or a skilled pure boxer. Martinez has to much speed, and ko power, to go with his size vs Pac making it a mis-match. If he didn't have the KO power or as much hand speed then it would be more of a reasonable match up. Since Martinez is the one who wants to chase Pac and May, He is going to have to be the one to make sacrifices by coming down in weight.

Absolutely, I would love to see them fight but they're too different in size. Sure Manny can fight above his max of 147 against fighters he has a huge speed and skill advantage over but how would he be able to beat Martinez?
Margarito and Martinez are almost of the same size. But Martiez is still bigger. Therefore, Margarito being bigger than Martinez is just a figment of the fertile imagination of Saul_ir34. If he stated that Martinez and margarito are the same size, he might have hit it halfway, or, better if Margarito is smaller than Martinez, then it is accurate.
Martinez is a far different fighter than the one Marg beat years ago. While I honestly believe PAC could beat Martinez I just don't think at 160 or 154 PAC's special ability and talent would allow him to overcome Sergio. It's possible and I wouldn't be floored if PAC ended up beating Sergio...I'd just be less surprised if Sergio pulled it out. I'd have Sergio by a close UD based purely on the style match up coupled with the vast disparity in size.
Lets see what Margarito weighs on fight night when he faces Cotto at 154. I guarantee you he comes in at 170. So if he weighs in at 170 which is the same as Sergio weighs on fight night and he is one inch taller wouldnt that make him the bigger fighter?
