There are very few clubs and pubs in Oz who do! And it's becoming harder to find streams....

Who could blame the pubs for losing faith after some of the crud cards BOXA have served up. Then Green delivered the mother of all farces against Briggs just to totally destroy any remaining faith.

Maybe it's time to move to Nerang, Gold Coast. I rocked into sports bar @ local RSL last Sunday and asked to put the fights on for me on one of the larger screens. No drama, even though I was the only one watching.
I only ever go there to watch Fox & Main Event shows.

As if any other Australian state runs Victoria even close.

...and on the world scene Victoria doesn't rate too badly either.

(so what if we don't get much boxing on TV in Victoria - 90% of Australia's population couldn't give a **** about boxing anyway)

Plus the exorbant fee's that the pubs /clubs are asked to pay don't help

This has happened to me also at Star City, worse made by the fact that they were advertising as going to show but then right at the time of telecast, said no "we've had a change of programming"

    ****off you ****s!

Keep an eye on the Skychannel website Dan Jamson. They've been showing quite a few fights this past 12 months - I think they've done a special deal with pubs and clubs..

For the Cotto fight, no pubs were showing it in Melbourne under Main Event/ Fox Sports (but 4 were in Adelaide!!) but Sky Channel had a whole heap..

I was down in Melbourne for the Katsidis-JMM fight last year. It seems the Inkerman in St Kilda is the only place in Melbourne who show fights.

The Inkerman is definately the best atmosphere for pub telecast boxing. Your likely to bump shoulders with promoters, fighters and peolpe who have a genuine interest.

Not sure if they still do but the other pub in Hawkesburn, on the corner of Malvern and Williams Road is the Bush Inn. They went through a period where they showed all Sunday telecasts. Thus was a 5 minute walk for me and regularly met about a dozen mates for a beer and counter meal while watching a fight. Watche Tzsu v Hatton there and it was shoulder to shoulder.
    Hopefully they haven't changed.
