Jones fights all of them in 1 day and wins (okay, maybe not... but he whoops some ass)

 

He wouldn't lose a round, Froch has no defense and relies on reflex's so he gets sparked cold, Ward may go the distance but would be outclassed, Abraham may go the distance because of his shell but he wouldnt land a punch, Dirrell would be caught and sparked, Johnson would get stopped

 

He'd get KO'd by Glen Johnson

 

Roy Jones whoops them all so easily that everyone would ***** at him and say he fought a bunch of nobodies.

 

James Toney at 168 was better than any of the guys in this super 6.

Jones beat him easily,almost knocked him out.

Thats about all the proof needed done ya think?

 

rjj would have fought none of them.

he would have faced stieglitz...won the wbo title in a snooze...then probably faced a couple of fattened up big name welters like hatton or cotto after dragging them up to 168...he would claim all the other fighters were pricing themselves out of a fight...then moved up to 175 where he would again face the weakest champ & hide behind his title avoiding real challenges.

people talk about his talent but he pissed his career away. it would not be any different today.

 

dont compare anybody in the S6 to Jones...Jones DOMINATES every fighter in the S6 easily.

 

:rofl come off it, which of RJJ wins at 168 sealed his nearly unbeatable tag? RJJ was a fantastic athlete but anyone with his chin is beatable.

 

Nobody got close to Roy's chin in the center of the ring at 168. When he did get caught, it was on the ropes and he could see the punches coming. Can't knock a guy for not getting hit clean for 90% of his career.

 

He'd flat out refuse to enter the tournament, and that's a fact.

 

If the current crop of super mids were there when Roy was, he would've stayed at 168. But the fact is, back then, it was a bunch of murderers. Roy saw calmer pastures and easier wins at 175.
Despite my disdain for Roy's "easy road" career, He far outclassed anyone in this super 6. Ward is the only one close to his skill set, but still not really that close. Dirrell maybe, but Dirrell is pathetic and fights scared. He'd find a way to quit the first time he got clocked really good by a RJJ combination he didn't see coming.
Froch would probably give him his toughest scrap because he can take a good punch and he's relentless. But he'd be so outclassed skill wise he'd have to get lucky and land a big one for any chance.

Jones did beat him easily.

But James Toney was never anywhere close to being knocked out in that fight.

 

Toney has an Iron Chin, plus Roy floored him.

 

True.
Roy's blinding speed caught Toney while he was in an awkward position and off balance. Toney was not hurt.
