I think you have it the wrong way. You are referring to the video of Roach and Mosley discussing a potential Pac vs Mosley fight couple of years ago. Roach wanted it 142-143 range as Pac was unproven WW.

But it is really pointless discussion. You can't face everyone at the same time. If Pac faced Mosley, then people would have cried saying why did he not face the man that beat him - Cotto.

This whole ducking/dodging etc discussion seems so juvenile and agenda filled. Most (tards and *****s) are very inconsistent with their argument. One day, it is not that great. The next day, that is historical and should be tested. The next day, the fight is fixed.

Just let it go man. Even SRR did not faced all the greats in his own weight division.

Mosley was the man at the time. He had redeemed himself by destroying the man that beat Cotto. Cotto was just coming off a lack luster performance from Clottey.
There was a big difference between Cotto and Mosley at that time.

that's because Pac is even small for a welterweight. Since your uneducated ass didn't know, let me tell you that once in his career, pacquiao was fighting at 106, flyweight, superbantamweight, featherweight, superfeatherweight, lightweight and jr. welterweight. He didn't debut as a welterweight but rather as a skinny malnourished kid who gradually filled out his frame throughout his 16-year career. at that point, Mosley was a former jr. middleweight champ and pac was fighting hatton with an official weight of 138lbs.

But its no use explaining to you, you're a hopeless case lol

There you go again in the same thread mentioning Pac at a weight that has no relevance to what was going on at the time. But here is a few facts.

Pac just fought DLH at 147
Pac just fought Hatton at 140
His team stated he would campaign at WW. Mosley offered him the fight since he was the man at WW. When they said they would only take it at a catchweight Mosley said fine i can go down to 143.

What the **** does 106 have to do with anything that was going on at that time!?!?!?
He obviously proved he could compete at the WW level.

Let me answer why the fight wasnt made since you just wont say it and are just gonna keep talking about Pacs weight as a toddler.
The fight wasnt made because Roach said and i quote "Mosley is too dangerous" Not because Mosley was too big. DLH is bigger but because MOsley looked to still have too much left in the tank. Now that he looks past it Roach is saying "The styles will make for an interesting fight"

Just admit it. Why is it so hard to do that for *******s!?!?!? yOu got all the evidence in front of you...

    Where did you learn logic?

Are you saying that in the future, in a possible fight with Cotto at 154, Margarito will come in above 170, therefore he is bigger than Martinez?

So we can use evidence that is still to happen in the future to bolster your theory?

That is bordering on Michiganwarrior territory mi amigo.

Well people keep bringing up Martinez fight night weight so therefore if Margarito and Martinez weigh the same on fight night and Margarito is taller who is the bigger fighter??

    So what?

As far as present day evidence is concerned, Margarito is smaller (lighter by weight) but taller.

In the future, or few months from now, he may weigh 170 at fight time, then they are the same, but not bigger as your original posts suggests.

What is this bruhaha all about anyway? Pac 's refusal to fight him? If he can come down at 150 then Pac can fight him. Same condition as Maragrito, since they are the same size anyway.

Why 150? For starters, Pac can not even reach that weight. The closest he was to that weight was 149 at fight time against Oscar. Fighting at 154 is giving too much away since by the time of fight, they will probably be 170+. That is more than 20 pounds difference.

Mayweather could weigh more that 150, so he should seek fight with Mayweather first. He was more than 155 definitely against JMM at fight time so the weight difference at fight time is much less.

Pac fighting way bigger opponents obscured the way people think about him. NOw he is expected to fight MW, junior MW and be considered ducking if he does not do it. If he fights 140 pounders, he will be labelled cherrypicking, when in reality, he might actually be a 140 pounder.

I agree that PBF should fight Martinez. I think that would be more competitive than Martinez-Pac. The reason im pointing this out is because Pac fans want to use the he is too big theory when in reality Pac has fought bigger guys just happened to be past it. Also Pac won a title at 154. Sergios old title thats why this fight has been brought up.

Just after the Marg fight, Arum/Pacs team realized that Pac could be hurt badly by heavier fighter. They decided it this will be his last fight above 147. Sergio is no yet on the limelight at this time.

Pacquiao could be one of my fav fighters ever, and even I can notice that it's just typical political bull****, which in turn is letting MMA steal fans like crazy (Roach and Pac are accountable for ALOT of that). Mosley fight is stupid as **** and I'm barley even interested in it. Marg was a great fight as we all were shitting ourselves than Pac COULD get hurt and was close a few times. The LWW-MW divisions are really stacked, and Pac has so much compitition in there to make a massive block buster fight. You are supposed to be the best fighter in the world, so ****ing prove it. Same goes to Mayweather and if it breaks down, Haye and Klit's.

That is revisionism at the highest degree.
At that point Cotto was considered a Death Wish for Pac. In fact, many here thought it was a joke match up.

But again, that does not address the issue that if Pac took on Mosley he would have gotten shitted on for not taking Cotto - along the lines of "Should have fought the guy that beat Cotto".

And I think you got your timeline wrong. That Roach/Mosley conversation was BEFORE the Mosley vs Margarito fight. Pac just beat ODLH and was in immediate negotiation with Hatton (remember the 50/50 purse split discussion???). Mosley has not even faced Margarito yet because that fight was happening a month later.
That conversation, if I am not mistaken, was around when Pac was preparing or after for Diaz. After losing to Cotto, Mosley had not fight lined up. He was fishing for another fight.
