Actually, Cotto isn't picking anything. Arum anounced the Margarito fight. As soon as Cotto got to PR he said: I have nothing signed to fight MArgarito. If there was a talk, they havent talk to me yet. I will fight whoever makes the best offer. Can't blame Cotto for what the promoter does. Still, Cotto Vs. Margarito makes perfect sense. #1. He deserve the opportunity to avenge the lost. #2. Margarito have to demostrate if he can beat Cotto without the cast. It will be a great fight.
About MAyorga: MAyorga is always relevant. Even losing, he always gives his opponents a hard night. People thought Mosley was done after he went 11.5 rounds against Mayorga. Then, he destroyed MArgarito

Well Margarito hasn't won a fight at WW in close to 3 years. Enough said there. In 3 years the guy has 2 losses, and 1 win over a bum and he is getting a title shot.

And in my posts I refer to Floyd and Pac as irrelevant fighters also, because their fights are basically meaningless to any one division. The sport is moving on without their circus show fights. My problem is that Cotto is following their lead, yet everyone gives him a pass for it.

Was JMM/Floyd for a title? :huh Because Cotto is parading around as a champion defending his belt against these jokes. Floyd wasn't pretending to defend a title, he just arranged and promoted a fight. That is the difference :deal

Yeah sure, he deserves to avenge his loss. He should relinquish his belt though if he does :deal

A joke? It's a young sport yes, it is still evolving. But it is entertaining and the fans get EXACTLY what the fans want. You obviously aren't a fan. So I'll use football as an example, ok? The Packers are the best team in football, they won the 2011 superbowl. So how about next season they only play 2 games, maybe against the Giants and the Cowboys because they would make the most money playing them. All other teams should continue to play their NFL schedule, but the Packers are the champs and they will play who and when they want. That is what boxing is. That "one person" Dana White makes damn sure that MMA/UFC doesn't turn into that. Their champs consistently fight the best possible and most deserving fighters. Or they get stripped and sent back to the middle of the heap :deal

Just a question. Who has dzinziruk beaten to make you think he would beat someone Cotto's class? Or even beat someone like Margo...?

And how did Foreman "not deserve a shot"? He was the champ, it was Cotto who got the shot...

When fighters fight once a year, 3 years without a win dont mean squat. Yes Margo has won 1 fight in 3 years, Floyd has won 2 fights in 4 years...what is your point?

Pac fights fighters irrelevant to the division? Oh let me see, beating the lineal champ at 140 must have been irrelevant to all the other JWW. Beating a top 3 WW in Cotto must have been irrelevant to all WW's. Beating a top 5 WW in Clottey must have been irrelevant to everyone too.

You are so full of ****.

He should fight Paul Williams, both guys are so flawed anything could happen, both would have chance of beating the other.
