I dunno. It's certainly not the worst thing i've ever heard - not a Tuaesque shout or anything. He's a toughie for this thread is Roy. Not much doing with the jab though, so I'd say no, he probably doesn't make this list.

    j/k

I do think Tyson and Tua actually have variety, accuracy but its hard to dominate with it being a short man, especially in terms of jabbing. Roy Jones left is his trademark and he needs to be in any list. Marquez is more of a right handed fighter, but his hook is good and his uppercut is sweet. Wlad Klit deserves a mention as his ability to hook off the jab is excellent and he certainly has the variety, snap, accuracy

Has anybody mentioned DAVID TUA yet?

I heard his lefthook was nicknamed "Mr Cultured".

Tuaman broke his right once, & proceeded to out-box his opponent with just his lefthook, unfortunately they were KO'd pretty early so he doesn't get the credit he deserves!

    That's fine.

I wouldn't include him. I don't doubt he could beat world, world-class fighters with just his left, but it's not in keeping with the thread, it just wasn't as complete as so many others.

If you were a fighter, you'd want Jones's left over Castillo's left every day of the week, but Castillo is higher on this list which I quite honestly am starting to wish I'd never made

    What about Hearns? Leonard? Duran?

Marquez looks to have a 'cultured left' against Katsidis and Diaz but not against Mayweather or Chris John for some reason ;)

Lewis is better overall and would destroy WLad but Wlad actually has a better jab and left hook

Better how? I've never seen a world-class (and it is world-class) jab with less variety than Wlad. Maybe it's better than Lewis's, I think it's debatable, but it ain't really in keeping with the thread, again. Under the terms of the thread, Lewis would rank more highly, I bet.

Fair enough on not making the cut because of the lack of a jab.

I still think that for most of his career he didn't feel the need to jab as a protypicical boxer might have. But he sure used that left a whole lot regardless. Was accurate and was tricky with it's usage as far being planted, being on the move, leaping with it or stepping backwards with it.

Tyson actually had a great, accurate rapid shotgun jab, & was learning to use it more as he developed with Rooney. Thing is he usually didn't use it much, whereas Tua had a very poor jab. Mike actually made exceptional use of his underrated jab against the tall, fast boxer-puncher & qualified-jabber Tony Tucker, when he became a pressure-jabber for rounds 4-12, i was very impressed with his beautiful performance there.

What about Ike Quartey? He is mostly known for his excellent jab but his hook looks pretty well I think.

He steps through it more, he puts more weight behind it, he doubles/trebbles it better, he throws a hook off it. And I have never seen such a bigger man havin such a short sharp left hook. To be fair to Lewis he was partially looking for the right or to set up the right, his jab was more varied, but overall less effective it saw him back up, Wlad backs up opponents with his jab
