Looks like all these Peruvian-boxing expert scholars are stuck in distant history too. How about picking up on this, for missing the point by 50 years

I invited people specifically to offer up left-hands from any era, at all. Why would I pick him up on doing exactly what I asked him to do?

    True. :good

I would've loved to have seen Tyson get with Manny Steward in '89, instead of incompetent, inexperience Snowell. I think we would've seen a lot more of the pressure-jabber Tyson from the Tucker fight, with improvements made.

Masao Ohba...bit of a mix of Ricardo Lopez and Howard Winstone, a left hand battle with Canto would have been great to witness.

Guty Espadas sr....mix of Napoles'esque smooth versatility and Olivares like ripping hooks to the body.

Glberto Roman....just all round top-notch technical work, versatile, but maybe should have put more snap into his typical points scoring jabs

Jose Napoles...smooth, sneaky and versatile though not as big a fan of his basic jab as others are

Rodolfo Gato Gonzalez....same style as Napoles basically, but a heavier jab at times. Not enough footage in comparison though.

John Conteh...bit of a mix between Napoles and Buchanan and relatively short arms for a lightheavy give him a unique left-handed style

Wilfred Benitez....great variety of angled jabs with seamless doubling\tripling and uppercuts thrown in

Mike McCallum...great overall technical work, hooks to body and head and solid points scoring jabs give him quite a unique dceptive style

Sumbu Kalambay...great versatile points scoring jab\effortless doubling and underused quality hooks

Raul Jibaro Perez...similar style to Marquez, lots of combos, uppercuts and decent points scoring jab

    Orlando Canizales...another smooth technical all-rounder

Miguel Lora...bit like Benitez, but with less snappy points piling and more use of variously angled and disguised hooks.

Honourable mention: Sot chitalada, Holmes and Eubank.Lack of quality varied hooking lets them down.Though to be honest a bout half my picks and others mentioned sway just as much toward being hook\uppercut happy.

Yeah, maybe you're right. You know who had a better one though? Bob Foster. Or perhaps Carlos Monzon?

edit: jesus christ, tua again? I fear of what ridiculous **** people might have said about him if he had actually done anything really substantial in his career.

Don't know if anyone else has already said this but I'd guess you have to say Larry Holmes would certainly be up there - at least amongst the heavies
