you guys are so damn stupid. cintron jumped out of the ring, hopkins faked the low blow, clottey just slipped agianst cotto, and andre dirrell didn't really sustain any damage at all from abraham's cheap shot. then when their favorite fighter gets hurt they run to hug his nuts for him and make a bunch of excuses. dumb ass posters

I don't think he jumped. That's dumb, and I don't believe a pro boxer would be dumb enough to do that.

    Overall, a tragic fight.

We wil never know, all I know Cintron had me stun the way he was landing and boxing Williams at times. Even before he flew out the ring, he landed a good shot to Williams. I wonder why the rematch never happend, it makes more sense now if Williams wants to show the boxing world that he still is in the top.

I don't like Cintron at all.

That said, you guys are f***ing ******ed. He's a professional boxer who's been in with some of the best fighters of his era. He was doing fine in the fight.

    Bunch of armchair boxers, all.

I don't care either way :) it was really funny and made worth staying up that night all the more worthwhile. From memory the fight wasn't that great but I was very tired, woke up for that and did a lot of rewinding and playing back :).

Unless Cintron somehow lost complete use of his arms, he could have grabbed the ropes. At least tried to. At least grazed a glove against a rope. He dove like a scuba diver going overboard.

guys. People don't hatch conspiracies in a few hundredths of a second.

Or is the claim that he was thinking "OK, it's the fourth round, I'm doing pretty good. First chance I get, I fly. This will be brilliant! Maybe I'll win on the scorecards? Who knows! What's the rule, anyway? fugg it, we jump!"

    No, he wasn't thinking that.

Sometimes it happens that what appears to have taken place, actually happened. It's not always some harebrained alternative reality. It's virtually never some harebrained alternative reality where people jump out of the ring to win a fight. But actually lose it because the plan backfires.

No. It was his momentum/being off balanced.

I swear people love controversy. Why in the **** would someone jump out of the ring? This is like when posters constantly claiming people taking dives and all of that bull****. Is it really that hard to imagine that someone was off balanced and fell out of the ring? Or a fighter got KO'd by just the right shot and didn't take a dive (Oscar/Hopkins)? What did Cintron have to gain by jumping out of the ring? What did Oscar have to gain by getting KO'd by Hopkins? Hey here is a great idea, I'm going to let someone KO me and then they can join my promotion company! Bull****. Blah blah blah, **** happens, try looking for a logical reason for something next time everyone before claiming something absurd! That is all.
