I'm not hating on the guy. We are just discussing the possibility of his wish coming true.

Pac and PBF is not gonna risk their stature for nothing, there's got to be a lot of money in the table, if ever.

He brings a top rated scalp, thats what the hell he brings. The guy has beat martinez, margarito, wright, and quintana, and deserves to get fights with his peers. Meanwhile, guys lile shane mosley and mayorga are getting the chances that williams and martinez desreve.

The best fight for Williams to take right now would be against Cotto or push for a rematch with Margarito. Both would be very marketable to fight fans and push and add some shine back to his name, if he won.

He badly lost a fight. Americans are the worst nation for bandwagon jumping.

Oh he brings plenty to the ring, but not as much to the table (negotiation-wise). Those two combined are a formula for high risk that both record-wary fighters -and- promoters are averse to.

i dont doubt or dispute that he is a good fighter, I'm just kind of sick of the whole 'nobody wants to fight me' act...he has been offered plenty of fights, just not the fights he wants.

Good to see he's not shying away from the big fights. You have to credit Williams desire to take on challenges.

He got sparked against Martinez by letting those hooks through. Martinez didn't even have to look at Williams chin to land them and he wont make the same mistake twice. The rubber match will be exciting imo.

    Mayweather will never fight Williams.

    Pac/Williams sounds interesting to me!

I'm a big fan of Williams because he's one of the handful of fighters who I believe when he says he wants to face the best. William's resume speaks for itself. He's obviously not getting Martinez, Pac, or Mayweather next but I'm sure he'll be in tough. I'd love to see a Williams-Kirkland fight later this year.

What I really dont get is why he doesnt work with steward, Paul williams is the perfect fighter when we look at manny stewards traackrecord he had great champs in hearns and lewis and now wlad. all very tall guys with great reach etc. Paul has the physical attributes to be one of the best yet he is wasting it for years now by fighting dumb. steward would give him the proper adjustments within a year and it would be a very dangerous athlete. If I could ask paul 1 question it would be that one.
