:thumbsupWith Bob Arum, if you're not a proven PPV star already, he pockets well above what he pays his fighters combined in his Top Rank cards.......

Nonito well get compensated for headlining cards now.......likely will triple or even quadruple what Arum would have paid him.

By the time that Donaire is physically ready to make the jump all the way up to 26, it's possible and even likely that both JuanMa and Gamboa will have by then physically grown out of the division.

I like the move because it now assures a match against the Mares-Agbeko winner to establish bantamweight supremacy.

If Top Rank is right about the validity of their contracts, this is going to wind up just like Pacquiao.

Man. Why can't filipinos resist signing 2 contracts at once? First thing I did after I signed up for the Navy was get an AT&T phone.

Care to explain how you know what Arum takes? And when you say Arum, are you talking HIM personally, or his company, Top Rank?

Solis didnt leave. He was given to king and they still got a piece of him. King is better with hwts....

Nonito did not do something smart here. Top rank will fight this to the very end and you can bet he wont be fighting anytime soon.

What has cameron said about all this? I

I think Donaire has once again sabotaged his career.

He can kiss his reported half million dollar purse away in May now.
He is going to be tied up and unable to fight for a while now until this gets sorted out legally.

His existing contract with Arum isn't even over yet without even considering the extension that Arum just exercised. He couldn't wait for half a million and the proposed Moreno fight to happen before the initial contract ran out to announce this?

Much like he wasted the momentum after the Darchinyan fight, he is doing it again after the Montiel win.

His best chance right now is that GBP and Arum come to some sort of agreement like they did with Ortiz where he can fight for GBP immediately while he/GBP pays a percentage to Arum.

But, I wouldn't count on it.

Donaire just screwed his immediate career because HBO won't touch him with the impending lawsuit that'll take a year to go away.

All the people who ***** about Arum not making good fights, Golden Boy is a joke. They have two supposed super stars in their stable and they put them in the worst fights. Khan fights Barrera, Salita, Malignaggi, and now McCloskey! Maidanna was his mandatory for a year and half before they finally had to give him the fight. And Canelo just got handed a fabricated title at 154 by beating a midlevel welter weight. Golden Boy also brought us Mayweather-Marquez. And look at the undercards they put on... What great fights do they supposedly put on? What great fighters have they exactly developed? They just threw Victor Ortiz under the bus like they did with Bojado, and expect the same with James Kirkland when he gets exposed at middle weight.

I hope TR sues the hell out of Oscar and he finally goes away because he and his POS promotional outfit are bad for the sport.
