IF and when Pacquiao beats Floyd, the Sergio fight is much much more lucrative fight to resist, by both sides. Sergio would be more willing to fight at 151 for the #1 p4p spot.

I find it pathetic that the same people that are defending Pacquiao for declining PED testing and insist he's not using them.......then turn right around and suggest that Pacquiao who jumps into the ring at near the welter limit (in ring at 148 lbs)......

.....these Pacquiao defenders suggest a 148 lbs Pacquiao can beat a skilled, quick and fast fighter like Martinez at 154 lbs......

......Would'nt Pacquiao weigh no more than 150 lbs fightnight, while Martinez would walk into the ring at 165 lbs if not bigger????

Pacquiao is'nt a PED user but you all would suggest Pacquiao beats Martinez being outweighed by over 15 lbs?:patsch

I would like to see this fight. I'm a big fan of Manny and this fight would finally shut up all of Gayweather's fans.

I believe the size excuse experts are coming out with is BS. No one said that when Leonard fought Hearns or Hagler. This is the fight boxing needs.

But I know "The Grinch" Bob Arum will never let this fight happen.

This whole thing makes no sense. Martinez wants to prove he is p4p number one... by beating a much smaller dude? How does that work?

The same way it was gonna work for Hagler when he fought Leonard. But he ended losing so it never happened.

Shows the difference between this era, and back then. No one gave a **** about size back then. Which is why boxing sucks now.

How can no one give a **** about size when pound for pound is all about comparing fighters if they were the same size? Pound for pound is all about size. What are you on about? If Ward beat Donaire and everybody condemned him for picking on a smaller guy would you say who gives a **** about size? I don't know what you're talking about

Since when is pound 4 pound about size. If thats so than why do people rank Robinson ahead of Ali.

And yeah real smart of you to compare a SuperMiddleweight to a Batamweight.

The weight gap for Martinez and Pacquiao isn't that big. Nice try.

Because FOR HIS SIZE he was a better fighter. If they were the SAME SIZE, Robinson would win. That's what the term means. I worry that of all the things we disagree about, you have the most trouble with this part.

To paraphrase you: "Who gives a **** about size? That's why boxing sucks now"

Eh wrong, the reason Robinson is ranked ahead of Ali. Is because of his victories over high caliber opponents, not to mention his superb career record that dwarfs Ali's.

Dick your comparing a Supermiddleweight to a Batamweight. Simple math would help you out here. That is a 60 pound difference.

My main point is Manny is a Welterweight, and Martinez is Junior Middleweight(8 pound difference) If you can't see the difference. Then there is no hope for you.

Oh and thank you for misreading my quote. You just proven to everyone that your illiterate.

Bute in his recent fights has weighed 182, 183 lbs in the ring. Him and Dirrell are the biggest SMW's

Froch after the AA fight said he weight 169lbs in the ring. He says he walks around in the low 170's and basically doesn't cut weight but just loses a couple lbs during training camp.

Ward has said the exact same thing as Froch, that he essentialy doesn't cut weight but but just loses a couple lbs in camp.

Martinez against Williams II weight 176lbs at the 30 day weight in half way through his training camp. That heavier than Froch walks around at. He fights in the ring at 170, same as Froch.

So Martinez can call out Manny who is 25+ lbs smaller than him and its okay but Martinez himself has said that he's too small for SMW. Even though he probably has no weight disadvantage against Froch or Ward and a little over 10lbs against the biggest SMW in Bute.

lol i'd like to see where you got that from. Martinez is 5"10, probably a little bit over that.

    Reach

    Martinez - 76

    froch - 74 1/2

    Ward - 73

    Bute - 72

    Dirrell -75

lol Martinez has a longer reach than all of them and combined with his speed and style the height difference means nothing. All of that in mind calling out Manny but saying he is too small to fight SMW's looks cowardly.
