Haha! I didn't ask for it to become an argument about grammar. "You just proven" was actually my favorite part though, to be honest.

I've always considered pointing out poor grammar as one of the worst ways to insult someone in a forum.

    1. Because if you use it, you have to be 100% sure that you've never made a grammatical error in any of your other posts, otherwise, your insult is worthless

    2. Considering the various nationalities represented in the forums, you can't really expect everyone's english to be perfect.

Pac is pretty confident, he's thinking all I have to do is double my ped dosage.

THIS (what you wrote here) is why Pac vs Martinez should happen. Floyd may never fight again. He was A.W.O.L. before Martinez even went on his P4P tear. If he was active, then people would be clamoring for him to face Sergio. And rightly so.

In Pac's case, there has been a title won at 154 by him. Sergio is willing to drain back down to that weight class (he's a full MW at this point) and meet Pac in a P4P clash.

ATG's take fights they could lose all the time, which has been proved throughout boxing history. ATG's don't just need to take fights with guys who have just recently been destroyed by another fighter. It's OK for an ATG to go at a guy a weight class higher that actually has a win streak going.

Martinez deserves a fight with Pac. He also deserves a fight with Floyd, if he was around for the past year. Honestly, he actually deserves a fight with BOTH. :deal Pac fights Martinez and beats him straight after the Mosley fiasco??? We're talking top 10 G.O.A.T. list, no question.

I just hope PAC's people don't wait for someone else to come along and beat Martinez first, before they decide to let the fight happen. Take the bull by the horns and show everybody why YOU are the best fighter in the world. Pac would get in there and fight Maravilla, but will Arum allow it? I seriously doubt it while Martinez is on a streak.

This aint anywhere close to asking a MW to fight a HW. They are within one weight class of each other.

    1.****en liar.

    2. Martinez is a middleweight so there is an immediate 13 pound difference between the two.

    3. but weight classes doesn't reveal yet the deeper truth. Manny is too small even for the welterweight division.

    4. I'll give you a scenario, suppose Pac and Sergio agreed to fight at 154lbs. Manny would weigh-in at 143 or 144 lbs (the same weight he managed to make for a 150lbs fight with margo where pac tried mightily to gain weight). Sergio would weigh at 154. Immediately, there is a ten-pound difference at the weigh-in alone (almost two weight classes). At fight night, Manny would enter the ring at 147-148 lbs. Sergio would enter at around 174-176lbs. that would spell a 25lbs or so difference on fight night or equivqlent to almost three or four weight classes.

    5. the truth is Pac fights at his walk-around weight, meaning that is the maximum wieght he could gain and where he doesn't even have to lose weight at all in order to step into the scale. If sergio is to do what Pac does, he would be fighting at 168 or at 175lbs, his walk-around weight, his maximum limit where he doesn't have to lose weight to make the scale. But sad fact is Sergio thinks he's too small for the super six and would rather fight a man that is 25 lbs smaller than him.

he's maxed out? why then is he weighing at around 170-176lbs on fight night? if anyone has maxed out, it is Pacquiao who walks around at 148 lbs, the same weight class he is fighting at

Anyone who think SM can go to 168 or 175 is a moron. He is like barely 5'10.

he weighed in at 142 for the dela hoya fight, he weighed in at 143 for the margarito fight. that means he maxed out already. he won't be able to add anymore weight without fattening himself up. if you ask him to fight for the middleweight belt at a catchweight of 156lbs, he'd still weigh in at around 143 or 144 lbs, he won't get any bigger. he would step in the ring at around 148 lbs. Compare it to Sergio who could step in the ring at around 170-176lbs. that is a guy who hasn't maxed out yet and may still move up to 168

Just checked that he weighed over 145 for joshua clottey fight. He could add weight if he chose to he just wants to retain speed and so far it works for him.
