If his guts matched his talent, he’d have been in more gruelling fights and he wouldn’t enjoy the longevity he currently holds. He’d be more susceptible to a first-time defeat if he hasn’t already tasted one. Guys like Mosley, Oscar, Morales, Barrera, etc, have as many losses as they do because they fought the best in their primes. Floyd, since being a WW, has been going at a pace that suits him, his body, and his undefeated record.
His resume suggests he does have such guts, unless he faked his way into becoming the greatest fighter ever at 130lbs and building one of the best records in the modern era.

Come on, can I make it pretty clear, Fans love "try-hards". They love "losers". They love guys who struggle to succeed. They hate the guys who just win, and make it look easy. Mayweather has fought more tough opponents than the likes of Barrera and Morales. In truth, his resume, in regards to quality isn't much off Pacquiao's. Losing, and making it look hard, doesn't mean the opponent is any better.......................... It just means your beatable. Seriously, tell me anyone on Pacquiao's resume, who even pushes Mayweather, and you'll be lying to yourself. You don't think Mayweather schools Barrera, Morales? As in, humiliates them?

Barrera, Morales and Pacquiao are tougher than anyone on Mayweather's resume. Morales gives Mayweather a very competitive bout, I wouldn't be surprised if he beat Mayweather.
Are we comparing each fighters win columns or simply who they have faced, win or lose? There's a difference. Marco Antonio Barrera has "faced" Manny Pacquiao twice, Erik Morales three times, Juan Manuel Marquez, Naseem Hamed, and Kennedy Mckinney, most of which were either in their prime or not to far off. Compare that to the fighters Mayweather has "faced" and consider where they were in their careers at the time, and I think MAB clearly has the edge over Floyd Mayweather.
