I've noticed it's pretty common to devalue Sanders, and as result, overly criticize Wladimir for his performance or not give Vitali props for his, but Sander was a decent opponent back in the day. Sure, he didn't look fit, but if we're to accept Solis as a legitimate threat, then the simple dismissal of him being "fat" should be omitted when debasing Sander's abilities. The guy honestly, while not great by even the furthest stretch of the word, was a decent opponent with the aggression and ability to knock some people out.

Vitali weathered some early onslaughts and completely demoralized the guy.

He didn't look like much but him and Vitali had arguably the most entertaining post-Lennox heavyweight fight we've had.

People will never admit it because they hate wlad. but, the fact is sanders had fast hands, fought aggressively and was one of the harder (top 5) punching southpaws of the last 50 years?

Other than MM I cant think of many southpaws that hit has hard or harder.

He was a top puncher no matter what stance. Also his counter punching was tremendous.

Sanders = ability and potential to be great yet didn't have the desire.

I'd give that title to Liakhovich-Brewster.

That was a great fight, and the best HW fight since the 90s.

Sanders was sort of like a Zab Judah in the sense that he was a fast-handed southpaw with power who was dangerous in the early going. Both had those nice straight left hands, although Zab's best punch was the left uppercut.

Watching Sanders fight Nate Tubbs, and even Hasim Rahman, you never would think he'd stay on his feet from all those clean shots from Klitschko.

Sanders was the ONLY man I've seen wobble Vitali, which he did in the first round. Vitali was all over the place trying to get out of the way. Has that ever happened to Vitali before, or since?

Hasim Rahman said the hardest he ever was hit was by Sanders. Youtube has plenty of his older fights when he was in shape. Lennox called him "The Sniper" for a reason. 2 bad he became lazy, fat, not to mention had a hard time lining up fights.
