Yeah definitely. Despite the rivalry I gather he and DeGale were pals, they'll always be linked so I hope DeGale goes on to fulfill his potential and win a world title.
I know man, I was thinking the same thing earlier today, it really saddens me to think we have lost Darren, he would have been right in the mix.
who is gonna win between timms and sweeney... its a good fite... and fitzgerald is up against it as well.. the bill on sat is pretty good:good
I reckon Sweeney wins. I think Fitz will get beat, I think it is too big a step for him at this stage.
Was talking to Timsey today- he seems confident- i really cant wait for that one. Re Sutherland- he was a gent- lovely bloke, but i dnt think him and Degale got on. He told me after their EU final scrap in the Stadium that they had buried the hatchet, suggesting there was at one stage bad blood.... Degale and Groves back and forth was wrecking my head earlier- neither had any great lines and the stare down they had was crap!
instead of "i really cant wait for that one." why dont you call the way the fight goes!? You've less opinions then Jimmy fĂșckin Tarbuck!
slap i have to see your article on andy lee over the weekend had me pissin myself laughing just for this line in the opening paragraph "Carl Froch looked a beaten man at the Foxwoods Casino Resort until he pulled the banjo out of his back pocket and landed it squarely upon the jaw of Jermaine Taylor"
Just watched the DeGale-Groves thing on Ringside and find it hard to warm to DeGale at all. Quite frankly he was embarrassing!
Heavyweight Sensation Tyson Fury will be heading to Dublin on Friday morning to support fellow Irishman Willie "Big Bang" Casey in his quest to out gun former Olympic Gold Medalist and current interim WBA World Super Bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux on Saturday night. Tyson said “I’m flying out on Friday morning and will be ringside to support Willie in his quest for a World Title” “Casey is a real gusty fellow who has a big heart, he’s a strong fit man and I can’t believe people are writing him off against Rigondeaux. I know Rigondeaux has won all sorts of medals in the amateurs but the pro’s are a totally different game and I feel Casey can cause an upset on Saturday night.”
+1 good craic though. its so easy to make DeGale look like the bad guy even though i am assured by guys that have spent time with him off camera that he is not like that really (i find that hard to believe) but Groves has his own little foilbles that arent exactly endearing
Im the same, I want to like him but personality wise I cant. In the ring I think hes brilliant though.
Getting close now. In 36 hours will we be crowning a new Irish world champion. Sunday best washed and pressed for the Telly, will have the dinner at half eight giving us a free run at the day. C'mon the Big Bang
