Groves has heavy hands, that's probably why they hang down. It's the first thing I noticed about him, you can hear the thud as he connects. He looked bloody awful in the beginning against Anderson, which is a shame because if he had a decent style he could be very hurtful.

A lot of people hate Booth but he is a clever trainer. If he has a winning plan that Groves can execute then there's every chance of an upset.

    yeah both imo also.

DeGale is riled by the previous defeat.

Groves is riled because of the abuse he has taken since the Anderson fight.

I hate Sky trying to compare this to Benn-Eubank, the hatred here is nowhere near as GENUINE as Benn-Eubank.

Both fighters know that a slip up here so early in their career means going back to basics and rebuilding.

Whoever loses needs to show the mental strength to come back, if they can't do that then I doubt they will become stars or world champions imo.

You sure about that. I think the beef is very genuine. You can see they do not like each other.

Good thread Rob, I love these build up threads - also stops unnecessary threads about the same subject.

JDG is better technicallly, Groves seems to have the heart and pop - there is no clear outcome in my eyes. My prediction changes by the hour, but at present it's Gentleman George by TKO - he's doing it for the Gentry.

It says on Haye's website that Groves is going to spar with Dirrell. Could be a genius move or end very badly.

Sparring Dirrell can't have any negative effects, surely?

Is it too late to change the poll to see who voted for what?

I voted Groves by stoppage but I see it as a genuine 50/50 fight.

I was just thinking if Dirrell beat him up it wouldn't do his confidence any good.

I don't dispute they hate each other, I just don't think its as genuine as the hatred Benn had for Eubank.

Benn hated every fibre of what Eubank stood for, with DeGale and Groves its something different.

With DeGale and the Gent it's more like a battle of the ego's - no-one wants to be second best.
