Ive got alot of love for old Bernard but am i the only one that thinks he rambles on abit and ends up confusing the **** out of himself and the person interviewing? Think he tries to be abit to intellectual at times and comes off as looking abit silly.

I think he has a lot of wisdom, not intellect. People tend to confuse the two.

I think he's smart... not university smart but street smart.... and he sues that in the ring and out of it. He is also wise. I would say wisdom is the application of beneficial knowledge.

Why on earth does Groves fight like that? he leans his torso onto the left hand side, doesn't he realize stuff like that is messing with his balance? you cant get in and conventional side on stance, then square your shoulders up and it not mess with your coordination, that leaves him wide open, as it torques his body in unnatural position, and when he drops his hand TOO :-(

not racist but not comparing like with like either - hair colour is not ethinicity. DeGale, childish as he was did not call Groves "ugly white kid" did he?

As much fin as De Gale grooves was an hour with BernHard would have been better.

Best bit was when he was driving along and he points over and says, "Theres my business". I am expecting some swanky clothes shop or a posh restaurant and what do we get, a CAR WASH!

He does, but then when he is backing up and his weight is on his back foot he twists his torso to the right. I think he will then struggle to avoid the overhand right as his torso movement is limited to stretching further or coming back in the direction of the punch and his left hand is low. Can't remember if it was a right from anderson that put him down, but i think if groves is to get the uperhand on degale he has to be the aggressor and has to stay mid range inside degales jab. Any further and Degale will picjk him off, and degales defensive skills up close impressed me against smith.

Hopkins is a great fighter but an idiot of a man, totally self absorbed, and knows how to make people feel awkward. A lot of needle between him and Nelson on that show.

One fighter he couldn't bully was Calzaghe either inside or outside the ring.

I don't think he's confusing and it's a breath of fresh air to see a guy who's been in the game as long as he has, who's seen literally just about everything you can see in the ring and still have all his senses. He's got the wisdom that comes with his age and I don't think he tries to be anything we have to remember this man is nearly 50 hes had plenty of experience in life so listening to his views on anything is worth listening too.

The Hopkins interview on Ringside was nothing compared to his interviews on On The Ropes.
