I love JuanMa as much if not more than the next guy but lets face it, this train is getting de-railed at some point unless he learns that he cant just throw heavy leather as he moves up the weights.

Juanma's a real good fighter, but that's about it.

He's got a very good game, a touch chinny. Certainly should be ahead of Martinez p4p. Too bad for him he's not more white-looking with HBO pumping him up.

I think he learned that lesson in the Mtagwa fight. I've seen a lot more restraint on his part since then. And like some mentioned already, JMM is a much more well rounded fighter than Juanma. OP should have titled thread 'Juanma is ONE OF the best allround fighters of the last 10 years'.

Arum hasn't him let any really good fighters, in their prime yet. And Juanma is going to be 27 in June. If he was that good Arum would be matching him with better fighters.

You can only be considered a great fighter if you beat great fighters. Nonito ko'd Darchinyan and Montiel. Martinez has beaten Williams and Pavlik. Juanma's greatest win is against a one-armed, past his prime Marquez.

He is a good fighter but he hasn't been tested enough because he hasn't fought all the top guys in the division so it's way too early to make a call like that

you know what if carefully maneuvered maybe, hes a two weight champ, 130 is empty the best guy is Fana he could easily get a 3rd, JMM is old and moving up to chase Manny or the 140 pound best around so 135 opens up

he could surely move up and take a belt in the two weights above

idk how old he is but if handled properly and given the right fights in 5 or 10 years he could become the biggest thing in boxing

he has potential and the Pacmans and Floyd and Hopkins and Martinez and Klitschkos will probably be gone by then
