Vitali is one of those cases who didn't achieve outstanding wins in his career and his resume looks dominant over questionable opposition. But I'd wager he'd give anyone in the top 10 ATG a very good fight and maybe the fight of their lifes.

His resume does by far not reflect his head-to-head abilities.

Rubbish. Ali would beat him easily - too fast and too skillful.

Tyson, Holmes, Foreman and Louis would also beat him convincingly.

This is quite rational to me, my brother. There's pretty much no way in hell he breaks into my top ten. Top 20 is a huge honor in and of itself considering the history that's already happened. As you say, so many years, so many greats...

Agree that it'll be closer than some people think but I do think that Haye will win. For all his talk about brutally knocking people out and having a reputation for being a bit wild, Haye has shown that he can execute a plan whe he needs to, Valuev being the best example. I don't think he'll be taking Harrison lightly either and reckon he'll be fairly cautious for the first few rounds.

He probably could beat most of them, but I don't think he'll be considered top 10 by too many. If he had been American, maybe. Holmes and Marciano are top 10 without top 10 worthy resumes. Anyway, best of his era along with his bro will be good enough. Infact the years after the Lewis fight until Vitali and Wlad retire will be known as "The Klit era".

You never judge greatness from H2H. it makes for an interesting discussion for forums and people who love boxing.

But, Vitali will never break the top 20 ATg heavyweights. He will always be ranked under Wlad who has accomplished so much more.

Yeah. I think it's just when the current guy you like is fighting, you want to think they're fighting for a really coveted spot in history, even if they really aren't. Vitali even being considered one of the top 30 (which I'd say he is, at least) is still a great thing to achieve. Top ten is just not realistic right now.
