Vitali's body shots outnumbered all of Odlanier's connects, period. Vitali didn't land a high % of his jabs to the head, but he landed a few. Add them to the right hands to the body, and it's WAY more clean touches than Solis got in. You have to take body shots into account when scoring. Many people don't.
Anger and frustration aren't the only two emotions a person displays in defeat. He was obviously just that, 'defeated'. I can understand it. I think he realizes it was the knee that really did it and how unfortunate it was for it to happen in a title fight. What was he supposed to do, jump up and down in the ring flinging his sponge bob chain at the canvas...
Sure. The Youtube video will show exactly what the EPIX broadcast showed - Vitali being the ring general and controlling Solis with his jab, landing several rights to the body and taking all of one flush power punch in return. :conf
Maybe it's because I don't follow Vitali very closely, but this clear hateful agenda against him comes as sort of a shock. I thought it was only Wladimir (the brother I actually do support) that copped this much irrational flack. :conf VK has always seemed to be Mr. Popular (except of course in those Lewis TKO6 threads, where half prop him up as a boxing god and the other half deride him as a Euro bum). Suggesting Solis won the round is like suggesting Ibragimov got robbed against little brother. :deal
How can anyone suggest he won the round? It was a 10-9 round for him UP TO THAT POINT. Obviously the KD changes the whole round and fight.
It was a 10-9 Klitschko round through 2:30 :bart Klitschko walked him down, controlled the distance and pace, threw more, and missed more (lots of busy floating jabs cutting air) but also landed more.
Ohhh...forgot all about that angle. :good Well, UK blinded by hatred of Vitali. Wladimir is hated by pretty much everybody, except Ukrainians and Germans (and me). :yep
