""It was definitely my knee," Solis said, also in the ring. "It could be that I took a wrong step."

The punch had nothing to do with it.

He hurt his knee as he went down after the punch. His right leg twisted.

Turned the left ankle as he came in before he stepped back and twisted the right leg. He stepped wrong.

The punch did not do any damage. A small push would have knocked him down. Solis never says he was hurt from the punch and that is why he went down. He specifically said he thought he "stepped wrong."

I heard a totally different translation...

The German intrepreter translated it as "I got hit by Vitali and hurt my knee on the way down", after that he said he quit because of the knee.
At least that was the Cuban to German translation.
And that's also supported by the video footage.

You got dropped on your head as a baby, yeah?

Nothing like a clown with an agenda writing 1000 equally desperate and stupid posts in the hope that he can rewrite history. Good luck with that.

Agenda? I do not even like the heavyweight division. I do not like Solis, and called him a fat slob prior to the fight.

This is an OBJECTIVE opinion. **** off. I really don't give a **** about rewriting history.... Boxing should be ****ing ashamed about that **** tonight, Vitali, Solis, the promoters, everybody involved with that event. A ****ing joke.

Anybody who is happy with that event tonight is just a Vitali fanboy, seriously. It was a BAD NIGHT FOR BOXING and it pisses me off. Boxing does not need bad nights like this.

You're less likely to get injured like that if you get yourself in decent shape. Might make him work harder next time.

THe punch scrambled his equilibrium in BOTH legs. While he was down, trying to get up, and even after he was on his feet, you can clearly see BOTH legs are mush.

How is that hurting one leg?

    The punch dropped him.

    Period.

Both legs wouldn't be jelly if it was just one that was injured.

IF anyone can find the clip where he speaks in Spanish, I will translate it. Not that it matters, though.
