Agreed there is something fishy. Olympic gold medalist that beat Felix Savon goes down from a Vitali love tap thrown off the back ****ing foot? Vitali hit Shannon Briggs with five thousand full blooded punches. He's not that much of a puncher for ****s sake that he could do that legit.

    Eh, I don't know.

Had the next 12 rounds gone exactly as the 1st (minus the KD) it would have been 120-108 Klitshcko on my card...

I thought Solis got that round. No doubt the judges would have scored it for Vitali but they filled the cards out over their cornflakes yesterday morning.

Vitali didn't land anything up until that shot which stands to reason if you think about it. Solis was moving well and sneaked in a couple of hooks.

Yeah Solis looked very promising he was sharp and looking to land short sharp bursts...and just as i started thinking maybe this is gonna get interesting he goes down i see him grab knee and said ''it's over'' got up and switched on Casey fight on comp.

    This^

Not sure how being knocked out/Having a sore knee/thinking **** this that white guy is massive translates to he was doing so well.By that reckoning Casey actually ko'd Rigo.

Am i alone in thinking Solis legs had completely gone? I thought it was a legit, if not disappointing for the fans, stoppage

Hope Mirko packs it in now. That was nasty...

When he didn't come out to Wild Boys it's time for the end of a era Mirko!.

If he'd won the third he'd have sneaked a draw.

A real shame, when he gets sparked, he gets proper sparked and lands horribly on one of his limbs.

Dana will cut him for sure now, he didn't want to see Chuck going on and Cro Cop has lost more than he has won in the UFC. He's not a huge money maker anymore either.

Maybe he can be swapped for Overeem with Strikeforce :yep and fight Arlovski in a 'glass heads' matchup

Well there's not much you can do about dodgy hometown scoring so you may as well just enjoy the fight. Looked like an interesting struggle then 'oh **** he's ****ed from an arm shot.'
Not much point getting in shape for one fight if you'd never bothered before now.
I think his previous lack of discipline in his career caught up with here. Like Hatton vs Pac.

:lol: be car crash mma but ****ing exciting.

He was doing ok as you say but i always hate watching past prime fighters struggling with average fighters when you know they could take them out in past. Needles me a little. Got shot though must say he waited for it and took it nicely.

We're all pissed off about a disappointing fight but that doesn't make it a fix, or that Solis quit or whatever. Solis moved his weight awkwardly onto his leg after a light punch and his leg buckled -- causing what looked a bad injury. These things happen in boxing.

To the people calling bull**** on Solis -- do you really think it's impossible he just injured himself? Have you never seen a footballer hamstring just pop when's he chasing a long ball? Injuries happen in sport all the time.

I don't see any reason why Solis would quit. He knew Vitali would be a tough opponent but he took the fight after just 17 outings. He had started pretty well and Vitali hadn't connected with a big punch. The punch that did the damage wasn't big -- it just caused Solis to **** up his leg.

Look at Solis' reaction as he goes down. His eyes are clear but he goes straight for his leg, knowing it's ****ed. He tries his best to get up but he realises it's futile and the ref stops it.

    Disappointing? Yes. Suspicious? Not really.
