Genuine temple shot KO by Vitali, analysis and comparison video

40 seconds in. It was not on the temple, Vitali was not even set, and he had no leverage for good power. It gets partially blocked by his glove for crying out loud.

Most of Vitali's shots have zero leverage. Even his KO shots.

All of his punches are normally arm punches, which is why Dougie from RingTV is surprised at how effective the guy is at beating people up from a zero leverage arm punching position.

And why are you using that video? Other videos with slow motion replays clearly show a large part of Vitali's fist hitting Solis' head before it bounced off and he went down, from two other angles.

40 seconds in, start watching. Clear as day. The "punch" even hit his left glove.

 

It's still on the top edge of the temple, stop splitting hairs. Bottom line is the punch made Solis lose his legs and I do believe he probably injured the right leg when falling down backward. He clearly tried to stay up & that put his right leg a bit behind him as he was going down.

The punch caused the knockdown, the leg injury may have caused the stoppage even though his left was still rubber as well from the punch.

The left ankle only twists after the punch lands, because he didn't want to do a Judah Chicken Dance and he was fighting the effects of the punch which ****ed his equilibrium up.....................

Missed that one. And I've seen other replays already. You're using only a single vantage point and it's a fast moving one. The other ones have real slow motion and you actually see half of Vitali's fist smacking Solis' head.

And yeah, Pacquiao vs Hatton, Pacquiao's punch went through Hatton's guard.

Simply guarding are overrated. You still feel the punches if the guard hand is too close to your head and the other guy is a heavy puncher.

You can even see the "punch" hit the left glove. It definitely shows it was NOT a shot on the temple.

Look way before the punch. Solis was wobbly already. His knee gave out WAY before the punch. The punch just tipped him over.

 

OK. So his knee gives out and he decides to trow two punches? Where is the logic?

 

Solis was hurt/wobbled by the shot. The part where the knee injury happened was when he was falling and tried to regain his balance. Part of his leg is out of the screen and I could only see it on one of the replays, but his knee clearly buckles in a way that it isn't meant to.

At the end of the day though, it was the fact that he was hurt that did it. You can see his left leg turn to jello right after the punch lands, actually, which indicates that the punch is responsible for the knockdown.
