Magee was very, very game. He probably overachieved (as in, exceeded most people's expectations in terms of showing heart and durability in a hopeless situation) about as much as Matthew Hatton did against Saul Alvarez. :good

Magee is a bulldog. Kept going at him. He could have carried on but would it have been worth it?

Bute was impressive, particularly the body punching.

The knockout uppercut landed bang on the chin and turned Magee's head around.

Cottos knockout over Quintana alone is more than Bute has done in his entire pro career.

I just wish Bute can fight someone of legitimacy soon, he's gonna get sparked out.

you know, even though he lost i think magee performed well, he landed some good punches, showed his toughness and was game the whole night. At the end of the day hes just not world class, but he can hold his head up high, in what is most likely the end of his career

He definitely wasn't gonna win it but Magee seemed to get up fine.

Wish Bute had more faith in his banging ability, once he get that UC going it's over, and if he starts fighting inside early, we could see some earlier KOs.
