I love this kid, nice kid and all but man, hes not the same fighter he once was or is it just me. I think he might be finished as a top fighter.

Top fighter no. The man at the lighter weights, maybe.
Took him a while to get the takedown but apart from that it was business as usual for Uriah imo. Why you think he's done?

He's still so raw technically and really doesn't seem like a smart fighter in the ring. Seriously this is the guy that gave us the jump knee while someone is holding your leg for a single. I don't see him beating top guys like Jose Aldo any time soon.

No doubt about his technical flaws but they arent truely glaring I think, sometimes he just tries the crowd pleasing stuff. No harm in that, Im not the one eating the counters

But its true, guys like Aldo can expose these flaws that Faber cant overcome with raw athleticism. But you can count those guys on one hand. He's not done at all

Looked fine to me. Eddie Wineland is no slouch hes a very underated fighter maybe thats what Urijah didnt look nearly perfect like he does usually in his wins.

Wineland is a good fighter but obviously his striking is a bit overrated. If Faber at 135 has problems taking natural 135s down, he'll have a hell of the time goig forward. His striking is very sloppy, it was surprising how the hell he outstruck Wineland(who love swinging at air). And even if he did outstuck wineland, his connection rate was very low.

Bottom line is he doesnt seem to have the same explosion he used to have or everyone has figured his game out.

Cruz will destroy Faber in the rematch.

Faber vs Wineland was the best fight on the card.

He tactically destroys and makes them look bad.

I thought Faber looked decent by the time the 3rd came around.

Cruz may outmanouver and pepper him throughout, but Faber is well-rounded. Cruz has good TDD but over five round, Faber could well muslce him down. Great matchup, Faber is the man to do it IMO.

I don't think he was underwhelming at all, the problem was Faber was hyped big and it was not the right opponent to do it against. Wineland's no joke and Faber did extremely well to take over the fight in round 2. Once he got in tune he showed how technically sound he is, I was very impressed with his performance.

I agree. It looked as though he may have been able to finish Wineland had this been a 5 round fight.

''I guess there just no pleasing some people'' - Brian of Nazereth

I can't equate Wineland having good TDD to everyone having figured Uriah out. And even if you dont rate his skill set, Faber is relentless and a challenge for anyone. Once he got his timing down Faber was connecting wit much more regularity in the 2nd ad 3rd. Even when Aldo was using his legs for penalty practice Uriah just kept coming.

Im starting to see a pattern in your posts. i.e. if Fighter A doesnt walk through Fighter B then he's useless. Not a very good attitude imo

Wineland is a good fighter. He won one round out of three against someone having his 2nd fight a the weight.

Would everyone prefer to see uncompetitive fights?
