Mayorga has a puncher's chance and nothing more. Canelo would stop him.

Sure, like he stopped Hatton and N'dou.

I don't doubt he might win on points, but please... "A puncher's chance", right? When did you start watching boxing?

Say what you want about Mayorga but he's been in with some of the best and hardest hitting guys of the weight class. Canelo is nowhere near any of the top guys Mayorga has faced. It is not a question of Mayorga respecting Canelo's punches. It is can Canelo take Mayorga's shot.

The more you guys talk about this fight, the more I want to see it happen. Huge test for Canelo.

Mayorga doesn't know what defense is, although he seemed to "box" in stretches against Cotto. He would leave himself open and a talented, young fighter like Canelo would take him out IMO. Mayorga is 38. He ain't no spring chicken. There is a reason why he said he will retire. He knows he's lost a lot. A guy like Canelo is the type of guy who can take him out.

It seems the dudes who nutthug Canelo started watching boxing yesterday. I don't mean every Canelo fan is a nutthugger, there are some serious and wise fans, but wow he does attract nutthuggers.

Amazing how they have the face to come here and say that Canelo KO's Mayorga in 3.

And let's be clear here, Mayorga quit against Cotto. There was no wrist injury as replays clearly showed there was no contact to his left wrist. It was his way of trying to disguise his true intention in that Cotto's left hook hurt him. A young lion like Canelo takes him out.

Canelo could take a decision, but he's gonna have the ride of his life trying to do it. Mayorga can box when he wants to. He is a brawler with a tremendous experience, if Canelo makes the horrible mistake to try to brawl with Mayorga, or underrate Mayorga's boxing, he's in for a rude awakening. And so are you.

I'd say this is a 60/40 Canelo on points.

Canelo is not Cotto, there is like an ocean between those.

I'd rather see Mayorga retire, he's gonna get another beating. But since Alvarez is still not a full-grown LMW - never was - maybe the weight difference will make it more competitive, but I see Canelo countering one of Ricardo's wild swing with the left hook for the count.

Mayorga's problem is Don King who according to the fighter never fully paid him, and when he went to MMA, King interfered and at the and Mayorga had to pay King! :patsch Therefore he only got $50 for the Cotto fight and that went to the trainers, managers and team members.
