Very easily. But we're talking about a hypothetical situation, where Jimmy gets given the decision in the Ken Norton fight, and does n't lose his motivation.

Young kinda "gave it up" after Norton...his decline set in after that. I think he would have been very "up" for Holmes, whether he'd actually win or not, he'd have made Holmes seem very ordinary win or lose.

:good Could have been as close as Larry's bout with Norton. Though not as spectacular to watch.

Quick question, for the TS: In this fantasy, is Holmes going to have Parkinson's or be suffering from life-threatening dehydration?

 Well, in that case I can certainly see him just "eking out a decision" like Cobra said. Young could even win if Holmes was, in addition to life-threatening dehydration and Parkinson's, suffering from gout, broken hands and a migraine.

Now, can we please get a Ron Lyle VS a Mike Tyson with anemia, osteoporosis and a giant spike through his leg thread? Lyle might eke out a decision, I say!

He actually didn't look that bad in the Occassio rematch and the fight could've possibly been a draw. Neither man really "won" it to me.

Agreed. Young would give fits to Holmes and maybe more than Spinks did except with less mobility and more head movement/blocking. I still think Holmes eeks out a decision but he wouldn't be happy with his performance.

Well some people think Lyle beats '96 Tyson, based on the Foreman fight...

The '96 Tyson would have beaten Lyle. Any later version of Mike would lose to a peak Ron,though.

Ugly fight for the Holmes fans because Jimmy would capitalize on him dropping his left...Jimmy hard to hit frustrates Larry ...I thought Jimmy edge out Ali but it was hard to get the decision over Ali back then...A prime Young could do a Spinks job on Holmes, Young was better equipped than Spinks...However I do not see him hurting Young or visa-versa- so its up to the judges and Jimmy never really got the benefit of the doubt with them
