    I certainly hope so.

Anyone else found the broadcast a bit poor? I haven't even seen the body punch connect that first hurt Casey, not did I see how the first KD-punch hit.

You are right, the angle of the cameras were awful, but you can c the body punch (he gets hit and start back pedaling) and the left hand that drop him the first time (uppercut)

I doubt it. 30 years is already pretty old for the lower weights. And he had lots of trouble with Cordoba, who isn't all that special. Darchinyan, Lopez should be perfect fights for him. But i don't see him beat someone like Mares, Gamboa or Juanma

I agree, JML is made for Rigo. Donaire is another story, thats a toss up.

I remember Roach saying how Rigo use to give the filipino fighters at his gym absolute schoolings. I think that included Penalosa.

I think the Cordoba fight was just a bad style matchup. Rig is a counter puncher and Cordoba spent the fight looking to counter as well in addition to being a tall, rangy southpaw which created an uninspiring fight.

I've been pretty impressed with him in his other fights but I never like to get too carried away with guys at this stage in his career so I'll reserve full judgement until a little later down the line.

I don't know which fight you did watch, but Rigondeaux didn't have any trouble with Cordova, and Cordova might not b special but he is not a chump either, he was an ex-champ still in his prime that has lost only two fights, and for GR was his 7th fight, how many fighters you have seen fighting this kind of opposition in his 7th professional fight?

He hasn't, he doesn't even know who Córdoba is, he's just riding the hearsay.

The only thing going against Rigo is his age. He does not have a lot of time and as we have seen with Arum he takes years to build up the profile of his PPV stars and the opposition know this as well and will must likely avoid him.

If he can get to face and beat elite competition within the next two years, he can definitely get on the top ten list and create a following.
