Just saw the replay, and it showed that the punch from Vitali did not land flush. There were reports saying Solis had the injury before his fight with Vitali. Either that, or, Solis was paid to take a dive.

In other news, the USA have put a man on the moon, beating the Soviet Union to the punch.

    Congratulations USA!!!

Edit: damn you and your thread title edit ;)

Solis doesnt even have the dedicataion to ****ing train and people are questioning wether he gave up or not ?

He took 1/2 a decent punch thought "**** this" and gave up . simples

I watched the fight just now and yes the punch didnt land, but it was clear no one was saying he was stopped from the bunch, they are saying his knee when out when he dipped to slip it.

So its all down to if he has a legit knee injury or not, he did seem very discouraged in the fight, but if its a real knee injury hes probably getting surgery and all of that and if it did go out then there is no way he could have continued if he cant ****ing walk.

That punch would have been absorbed by the springs.

the guys knee buckled and he went down, he was boxing fine until that happened. Vital looked very slow and open to counters.

No way did that punch knock Solis down flush.... looks like it threw him off balance and from that he buckled his knee.

It wasn't a KO punch , hence Vitali's reaction when SOlis didnt get up.. he thought he threw the fight, went to SOlis' corner then realised he had damaged his knee....

I hope SOlis gets his rematch (unlikely)

It may not have been 100% "flush" but it had enough power to change the direction of Solis's head to the point of possibly causing whiplash and it did hit the temple.

Now those gif's are clearer. He definitely got hit and lost balance. It was because of the punch (not saying it could put someone to sleep, but it definitely rocked him) and the poor condition he was in. His legs couldnt support his weight while trying to regain balance.

Looks like dude was already on his way down before the punch even landed.
