:good to a question where the only other option was NO.

As it happens i reckon he probably could. Chavez jr is a bum and nothing but

I think he actually could. I figure between both guys, it may go between 13-15 rounds, and with some superb conditioning, I think he could get the job done. It'd be a great way to put up 2 more W's.

Cotto over Cinnamon first.....and then Cotto over Chavez Jr.....I'd even give him 10 min between each fight.

Do you seriously think Alvarez would have the least amount of trouble with Mayorga at this point? Cotto got hit a lot by a guy 8 years removed from the championship level. Personally Cotto Vs. Mayorga looked like two used up guys pounding away at each other.

Do you know anything about boxing, man? Or do you simply adore Canelo?

Mayorga would get Canelo in huge trouble. Do you know what you're talking about? It doesn't matter Mayorga is past his prime, the man is strong and crafty enough to give Canelo the fight of his life.

Seriously, is the forum being flooded by nuthuggers? There are more than the usual amount lately.

There's a reason Canelo was in there with M.Hatton and not a dangerous fighter like Mayorga...and yes Mayorga can be dangerous specially for inexperienced guys like Alvarez.

Alvarez-Margo would make huge money, why dont they make that fight? Nope, they gonna keep sticking him in there with C level fighters for now.

Mayorga IS dangerous. The Mayo that fought Cotto last night delivers a brutal asswhooping to everyone except the absolute top-shelf champs. That was a hell of a performance.

Canelo-Cotto as i have said is 50-50 right now. Only going to get better for Canelo with the more experience he gets.
Canelo has size speed and power over Cotto. Basically the same technical skills and about same chin. When you think about it Canelo is just a bigger version of Cotto. They have the same beautiful left hook to the body. Canelo does have a better right though.
People can hate on Canelo all they want but if the fight were to come off which i think has a good chance of happening later on in the year or early next year i would put my money on Canelo no problem. Come on guys Cotto had some troubles with Mayorga and no Mayorga did not look good. If anythiing i was disappointed in Cotto. I had heard he basically dominated Mayorga but he was supposed to and he also should have KOd him sooner. He did not dominate him and took some big shots from Mayorga who was winging all of his shots and didnt seem to have much power behind them like they normally do. Also anyone else think Mayorga took a dive in the last round??

Chavez Jr-Cotto is about 60-40 to Cotto.
I have never been high on this kid and been very vocal about this. However since he went to Roach he has looked better. I think Jr. is definitely a step up from Mayorga and with his size advantage and solid chin he would give Cotto hell even if Cotto gets the win. He also has some decent pop. I would not be surprised at an upset here.
Cottos defensive problems are still there and at these higher weight classes with young hungry fighters it spells doom for him.

Mayorga is a guy who always will give guys a decent fight but will always fall short. The guy gets Kod everytime he steps up. Cotto stunned him quite a bit. Canelo is a bigger puncher than Cotto so he would have stopped him earlier.

I think people like to ride Mayorgas jock strap because he is funny as hell and of course a likeable guy to root for but come on. To say he would beat Canelo is just hate on Canelo or backing a fun fighter in Mayorga. Thats just choosing with your heart.

Both Canelo and Jr. beat Mayorga by TKO.

You are completely ignoring the fact that Mayorga is a man who has been beaten only by TOP guys, who has an experience in the ring light years ahead of Jr's and Canelo's, a man who can box when he chooses too.

I can't conceive how anyone who knows a little bit of boxing can say that Chávez Jr., who is a total bum, can TKO Mayorga right now, that is idiotic, to say the least. Let alone the fact that Jr. is a mama's boy who would probably be troubled by Mayorga's mind games before the fight and antics during the fight. Of course, strange things happen, but no one who analyzes both fighters with a cool head would bet on Jr. TKOing Mayorga.

It seems to me you are the one choosing with your heart, since both of them are Mexican. But even you must admit that Chávez Jr. sucks big time, and Canelo is still kind of green.

first time my boy showed some arrogance....he is calm and cold like a young joe louis...........honestly he'd stop both of them in the mid rounds....neither guy has fought anyone with a pulse, and they have horrible defense

did i not say in my post how i felt about Jr.?? I never liked the kid since i have inside info telling me his fights have been fixed.
Like i did state already previously. He has gotten better under Roach and has a solid chin. I think he has a better chin than Cotto and Cotto was never in serious trouble with Mayorga. Do you honestly think Mayorga of today beats Jr.? I know Jr. is not much but i think he is young enough along with his new abilities to take it to Mayorga. Come on dude. Mayorga has been a punching bag for top fighters for nearly a decade. It would be a close fight for a few rounds then Mayorga would start eating big shots and wilt. I was really disappointed with Mayorga quitting in the last round vs Cotto. Because lets face it thats what he did.

Canelo while Green has some solid fundamentals. You honestly think Mayorga beats Canelo?

Yes, the Mayorga of today gives Jr. the whooping of his life, he makes Jr. want to forget boxing forever. :deal

For me, it's a 50/50 fight Mayorga against Canelo. If Canelo made a small mistake, he would pay dearly for it.

Cotto beats both, Jr. would be like 80/20, and Canelo like 60/40, I believe so, yes.
