Miguel Cotto: "I Can Beat Canelo Alvarez And Chavez JR On The Same Night"

Based on what? Mayorga touched Cotto up with some big shots and Cotto took them well. Mayorgas power has always been overrated at the higher weights. His power was good at WW but above that it is not that good. His power has also diminiged with his age.
Cottos chin is not the most sound and if he can take those shots i think Canelo can take them too. Have you thought about how Mayorga would take Canelos shots? He is easy as hell to hit and Canelo does pack a punch. Dont let the Hatton fight fool you. Hatton was incredibly hard to hit with that crab like defense. The only time he was getting tagged cleanly was in the middle of an exchange and then he would usually end up wobbly. They were few and far in between.
Mayorga is slower and would want to engage. Whenever it would happen Canelo would get to him before and TKO him. Actually possibly even KO him.

 

Ok, dude, have it your way. If they ever feed Canelo or Jr. to Mayorga, you're in for some rude awakening.

Also i know you and your anti-Mexican Agenda. Its obvious thats all this is being that you cant provide any real reasons why other than
"they suck" type of responses.

I bet if i bring up some Cuban fighters you would tell me they would beat anyone no problem.

 

I don't have an anti-Mexican agenda, dude, my wife and kids are Mexican, how could I? Jr. sucks, and Canelo is green, that is not anti-Mexican. That is the truth. You have never read any post of mine dissing Márquez, or Morales, or Barrera. Why? Because those are real fighters and real men, not inflated products of TV companies.

Why does Jr. suck? Well, basically: he's slow as molasses, horrible footwork, he's very vulnerable, he doesn't have a good chin, what else? He is a B- fighter at his best.

Canelo is much more promising than Jr., and I don't doubt he can beat top fighters some day, but let's be honest, he has just beaten shot and B fighters so far.

You are pretty right on with Jr. Except for his chin i think he has a good chin. Probably his best quality.

Canelo yes is now being hyped too much however the kids skills are undeniable. His last performance is being criticized alot but Hatton was too negative in that fight. Along with having some solid whiskers along with an awkward defense.
Of course he has only beaten cans and B level fighters!! he is only 20.
Tell me when was the last time you have seen a 20 year old with the composure of Canelo?? I honestly cant think of one...
Normally you see these hot prospects have alot of speed and power but composure is not something to see in a 20 year old.
Its a damn shame he picked up a title so young. He is no longer a prospect....

****... As overrated as Canelo is i think he might beat the **** out of cotto, Cotto didn't look good against a rusty waaaaaaaaaaaaay past prime Mayorga, before that fight i would have picked Cotto, but i do think he beats Chavez jr by ud, with that said... Margarito and Angulo **** thats ass.

 

Lets get real, do you need to be seasoned to beat a crude past his prime brawler? Mayorga makes Canelo look slicker than Sweat Pea.

Are you serious? I mean, I find it amazing how people simply pull things out of their asses all the time. You think just because a boxer looks cool against some sack of potatoes he's gonna look cool against anyone. Crude brawler?

Mayorga craps all over Jr., and gives Canelo the fight of his life. No suprises either if Mayorga stops Canelo in 7 or 8 rounds, no surprises at all.

I'm sure Canelo's management will be very very careful to put Canelo in the ring with Mayorga, let alone with Cotto.
