Temple shots can disorientate you for a moment, which caused him to lose balance, it was that loss of balance after getting his equilibrium off set which caused him to slip and buckle his knee. That does not prove you cant take a punch! **** sake. It was just a freakish incident which resulted in an unfortunate ending for EVERYONE involved, from Solis, the fans, promoters and yes even Vitali CANNOT be satisfied with that outcome. The question mark will remain and if I were Vitali I would try to set the record straight. No way was this a clean KO win, what some seem to be suggesting.
If only getting a rematch was this easy. Who in the world would pay to see this travesty again? Solis needs to prove to everyone that he is worthy of another title shot by beating someone of note.
Stuff the knee,Solis went down from a punch however "puny"and he could'nt beat the count.........Ko1 in my book.....end of story:smoke
Well actually he did beat the count, with the injured legs. But it was a fairly even round before the fall. Vitali thrown more, but Odlanier landed the cleaner shots. I suppose it would have went to Vitali anyway, because of the legit knock down...
Solis may not have shown in 1 round he could beat Vitali but he showed that he can be competitive. Something which Klit opponents notoriously have not been. Based on that alone he absolutely deserves another chance. And as I said before Vitali cannot be happy with such an inconclusive "win".
I think Solis lost his balance due to the massive gold spongebob around his neck and tore his knee up on the way down.
Exactly. I always thought that if Tyson didn't land that KO shot on MIchael Spinks, Spinks probably had what it took to beat Tyson, too. :blood SOlis got beat, decisively, and fairly. End of story. Next.
