I think Overeem would be too powerful. :bbb

Would probably be a fascinating fight as long as it lasted though.

Reem. Wrestling becomes a lot harder when the man has about 50 pounds on you. Reems striking is crazy.

Jones can grow into a heavyweight though.

Ill give the edge to Overeem right now but a filled out Jones is a very scary prospect.

You would see fighters getting hurt and I'll go out of my way and say that rules may get changed.

Jones in good, real good. But c'mon people.:patsch This is getting silly. Next will be "Prime Fedor vs Jones, who wins"?

Just for the record, Reem dispatches of Jones in under a minute.

Jones weighs 230 come fight time. And that's with no weight training.

Jones said he was light. I think he said 215 with no cut because of the hard traiining camps back to back. So no he does not weigh 230 by fight time.

Overeem is too big for jones and is a much better striker. Overeem by KTFO.

The reason why Jones is that good is because he has sooo many physical advantages at 205. Up at heavy all those advantages go away and he becomes just another heavyweight. Does anyone here think he's going to ragdoll guys twice as strong as him, heavier than him and could probably punch a whole through his skull? The JJ hype is real but heavyweight? Ridiculous. His striking isn't even sufficient enough to keep a guy like Brock at bay. He'd get tooled badly by everyone in the current top 10. Except Frank Mir of course :D

Let the guy defend his belt a couple of times before talking about him moving up in weight or taking superfights. There are interesting fights at LHW.

He will eventually. The guy is only 23 so he's gonna have to more up to heavy at some point as his body fills out and cutting becomes harder. He has literally stopped weight training to stay at 205Ibs...so it wouldn't take much to pack on the weight necessary to compete with all but the super heavyweights.

And he would still have the height and reach advantage over most heavyweights. Not to the same extent but he would still have it. And unless packing the extra weight on talk too much out of him, his speed advantage would increase.
